Increasing sucrose from 20 to 50 g l−1 in Uncaria tomentosa cell suspension cultures enhanced ursolic acid and oleanolic acid production from 129 ± 61 to 553 ± 193 μg g−1 cell dry wt. The maximal concentration of both triterpenes (1680 ± 39 μg g−1 cell dry wt) was 8 days after elicitation by jasmonic acid, while yeast extract or citrus pectin treatments produced 1189 ± 20 or 1120 ± 26 μg g−1 cell dry wt, respectively. The ratio of ursolic acid:oleanolic acid was constant at 70:30.  相似文献

Iron has a central role in bioleaching and biooxidation processes. Fe2+ produced in the dissolution of sulfidic minerals is re-oxidized to Fe3+ mostly by biological action in acid bioleaching processes. To control the concentration of iron in solution, it is important to precipitate the excess as part of the process circuit. In this study, a bioprocess was developed based on a fluidized-bed reactor (FBR) for Fe2+ oxidation coupled with a gravity settler for precipitative removal of ferric iron. Biological iron oxidation and partial removal of iron by precipitation from a barren heap leaching solution was optimized in relation to the performance and retention time (τFBR) of the FBR. The biofilm in the FBR was dominated by Leptospirillum ferriphilum and “Ferromicrobium acidiphilum.” The FBR was operated at pH 2.0 ± 0.2 and at 37 °C. The feed was a barren leach solution following metal recovery, with all iron in the ferrous form. 98–99% of the Fe2+ in the barren heap leaching solution was oxidized in the FBR at loading rates below 10 g Fe2+/L h (τFBR of 1 h). The optimal performance with the oxidation rate of 8.2 g Fe2+/L h was achieved at τFBR of 1 h. Below the τFBR of 1 h the oxygen mass transfer from air to liquid limited the iron oxidation rate. The precipitation of ferric iron ranged from 5% to 40%. The concurrent Fe2+ oxidation and partial precipitative iron removal was maximized at τFBR of 1.5 h, with Fe2+ oxidation rate of 5.1 g Fe2+/L h and Fe3+ precipitation rate of 25 mg Fe3+/L h, which corresponded to 37% iron removal. The precipitates had good settling properties as indicated by the sludge volume indices of 3–15 mL/g but this step needs additional characterization of the properties of the solids and optimization to maximize the precipitation and to manage sludge disposal.  相似文献

铁是好氧微生物生长所必需的元素,而铁污染土壤环境中的根瘤菌是否对高浓度铁具有耐受性和钝化能力尚不清楚。以攀枝花钒钛磁铁尾矿土壤作为基质进行水黄皮共生根瘤菌捕获实验,获得水黄皮共生根瘤并从中分离纯化出根瘤菌39株。通过Fe~(2+)/Fe~(3+)耐受性和钝化能力测试筛选出耐受性和钝化能力均强的优势菌株PZHS20、PZHS90、PZHS87,其对Fe~(2+)的最大耐受质量浓度为1 600 mg/L,其中PZHS20在200 mg/L Fe~(2+)溶液中钝化效率最大,为73.54%;PZHS90对Fe~(3+)的最大耐受质量浓度为1 600 mg/L,而PZHS20和PZHS87对Fe~(3+)的最大耐受质量浓度为1 800 mg/L,其在200 mg/L Fe~(3+)溶液中钝化效率分别为84.25%和81.95%。16S rRNA基因系统进化分析将PZHS20鉴定为苍白杆菌(Ochrobactrum),将PZHS90和PZHS87鉴定为慢生根瘤菌(Bradyrhizobium)。研究结果表明,钒钛磁铁尾矿土壤中的水黄皮根瘤菌具有不同程度的Fe~(2+)/Fe~(3+)耐受性和钝化能力,筛选出的优势菌株为进一步利用水黄皮-根瘤菌联合修复高浓度铁污染土壤提供可利用的菌株资源。  相似文献

The influences of buffers and iron chelators on the rate of autoxidation of Fe2+ were examined in the pH range 6.0–7.4. The catalysis by Fe2+ and Fe3+ of the autoxidation of dithiothreitol was also investigated. In buffers which are non- or poor chelators of iron, 0.25 mM Fe2+, and 0.3 mM dithiothreitol when present with iron, oxidize within minutes at pH 7.4 and 30°C. The stability of each increases as the pH is decreased and more than 90% of each remains after 1 h at pH 6.0. In the presence of buffers or oxy-ligands which preferentially and strongly chelate Fe3+ over Fe2+, Fe2+ autoxidizes rapidly in the pH range 6.0–7.4 while dithiothreitol is protected. Ligands which preferentially bind strongly to Fe2+ stabilize both Fe2+ and dithiothreitol at pH 7.4. Dithiothreitol readily reduces Fe3+ in non-chelating buffers or in the presence of strong chelators of Fe2+, however, the ferrous ions produced are prone to reoxidation at higher pH values. These results show that Fe2+ and dithiothreitol are very susceptible to autoxidation in the neutral pH range, and that the rates are strongly influenced by the presence of chelators of Fe2+ and Fe3+. The rapid autoxidations of these species need to be taken into account when designing and interpreting experiments involving Fe2+ or both dithiothreitol and iron.  相似文献

Pichia anomala, isolated from dried flower buds of Woodfordia fruticosa, produced a high activity of an intracellular phytase, at 68 U per g dry biomass, when grown at 20 °C for 24 h in a medium containing glucose (40 g l–1) and beef extract (10 g l–1) supplemented with Fe2+ (0.15 mM). Partially purified phytase was optimally active at 60 °C and pH 4 with a half life of 7 days at 60 °C. It retained 85% of its activity at 80 °C for 15 min. The enzyme is suitable for supplementing animal feeds to improve the availability of phosphate from phytate.  相似文献

The protozoan parasites Giardia duodenalis and Cryptosporidium parvum are common causes of diarrhoea, worldwide. Effective drug treatment is available for G. duodenalis, but with anecdotal evidence of resistance or reduced compliance. There is no effective specific chemotherapeutic intervention for Cryptosporidium. Recently, there has been renewed interest in the antimicrobial properties of berries and their phenolic compounds but little work has been done on their antiparasitic actions. The effect of various preparations of blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) extract on G. duodenalis trophozoites and C. parvum oocysts were investigated. Pressed blueberry extract, a polyphenolic-rich blueberry extract, and a commercially produced blueberry drink (Bouvrage) all demonstrated antigiardial activity. The polyphenol-rich blueberry extract reduced trophozoite viability in a dose dependent manner. At 167 μg ml−1, this extract performed as well as all dilutions of pressed blueberry extract and the Bouvrage beverage (9.6 ± 2.8% live trophozoites remaining after 24 h incubation). The lowest dilution of blueberry extract tested (12.5% v/v) contained >167 μg ml−1 of polyphenolic compounds suggesting that polyphenols are responsible for the reduced survival of G. duodenalis trophozoites. The pressed blueberry extract, Bouvrage beverage and the polyphenolic-rich blueberry extract increased the spontaneous excystation of C. parvum oocysts at 37 °C, compared to controls, but only at a dilution of 50% Bouvrage beverage, equivalent to 213 μg ml−1 gallic acid equivalents in the polyphenolic-rich blueberry extract. Above this level, spontaneous excystation is decreased. We conclude that water soluble extracts of blueberries can kill G. duodenalis trophozoites and modify the morphology of G. duodenalis and C. parvum.  相似文献

Plants were regenerated from root explants of Arabidopsis halleri (L.) O’Kane and Al-Shehbaz via a three-step procedure callus induction, induction of somatic embryos and shoot development. Callus was induced from root segments, leaflets and petiole segments after incubation for 2 weeks in Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) supplemented with 0.5 mg/l−1 (2.26 μM) 2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) and 0.05 mg/l−1 (0.23 μM) kinetin. Only calli developed from root segments continued to grow when transferred to a regeneration medium containing 2.0 mg/l−1 (9.8 μM) 6-γ-γ-(dimethylallylamino)-purine (2ip) and 0.05 mg/l−1 (2.68 μM) α-naphthalenacetic acid (NAA) and eventually 40 of them developed embryogenic structures. On the same medium 38 of these calli regenerated shoots. Rooting was achieved for 50 of the shoots subcultured in MS medium without hormones. The regeneration ability of callus derived from root cuttings, observed in this study, makes this technique useful for genetic transformation experiments and in vitro culture studies.  相似文献

Ferric binding protein, Fbp, serves an essential biological function in shuttling naked (hydrated) Fe3+ across the periplasmic space of many Gram-negative bacteria. In this process, iron must be released at the cytoplasmic membrane to a permease. How iron is released from Fbp has yet to be resolved. Consequently, understanding the dynamics of iron release from Fbp is of both biological and chemical interest. Fbp requires an exogenous anion, e.g. phosphate when isolated from cell lysates, for tight iron sequestration. To address the role of exogenous anion identity and lability on Feaq 3+ dissociation from Fbp, the kinetics of PO4 3– exchange in Fe3+ nFbp(PO4) (nFbp=recombinant Fbp from Neisseria meningitidis) were investigated by dynamic 31P NMR and the kinetics of Fe3+ dissociation from Fe3+ nFbp(X) (X=PO4 3–, citrate anion) were investigated by stopped-flow pH-jump measurements. We justify the use of non-physiological low-pH conditions because a high [H+] will drive the Feaq 3+ dissociation reaction to completion without using competing chelators, whose presence may complicate or influence the dissociation mechanism. For perspective, these studies of nFbp (which has been referred to as a bacterial transferrin) are compared to new and previously published kinetic and thermodynamic data for mammalian transferrin. Significantly, we address the lability of the Fe3+ coordination shell in nFbp, Fe3+ nFbp(X) (X=PO4 3–, citrate), with respect to exogenous anion (X n) exchange and dissociation, and ultimately complete dissociation of the protein to yield naked (hydrated) Feaq 3+. The thermostabilities of Fe2+ ligation in rubredoxins (Rds) from the hyperthermophile Pyrococcus furiosus (Pf) and the mesophiles Clostridium pasteurianum (Cp) and Desulfovibrio vulgaris (Dv) were compared. Residue 44 forms an NH...S(Cys) hydrogen bond to one of the cysteine ligands to the [Fe(SCys)4] site, and substitutions at this location affect the redox properties of the [Fe(SCys)4] site. Both Pf Rd and Dv Rd have an alanine residue at position 44, whereas Cp Fd has a valine residue. Wild-type proteins were examined along with V44A and A44V exchange mutants of Cp and Pf Rds, respectively, in order to assess the effects of the residue at position 44 on the stability of the [Fe(SCys)4] site. Stability of iron ligation was measured by temperature-ramp and fixed-temperature time course experiments, monitoring iron release in both the absence and presence of more thiophilic metals (Zn2+, Cd2+) and over a range of pH values. The thermostability of the polypeptide fold was concomitantly measured by fluorescence, circular dichroism, and 1H NMR spectroscopies. The A44V mutation strongly lowered the stability of the [FeII(SCys)4] site in Pf Rd, whereas the converse V44A mutation of Cp Rd significantly raised the stability of the [FeII(SCys)4] site, but not to the levels measured for wild-type Dv Rd. The region around residue 44 is thus a significant contributor to stability of iron coordination in reduced Rds. This region, however, made only a minor contribution to the thermostability of the protein folding, which was found to be higher for hyperthermophilic versus mesophilic Rds, and largely independent of the residue at position 44. These results, together with our previous studies, show that localized charge density, solvent accessibility, and iron site/backbone interactions control the thermostability of the [Fe(SCys)4] site. The iron site thermostability does make a minor contribution to the overall Rd thermostability. Atlantic sea scallops, Placopecten magellanicus, in most areas of the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada, have year-round concentrations of paralytic shellfish posioning (PSP) toxins greater than the regulatory concentration of 80 μg STX eq. 100 g−1 wet weight. Scallops (mean shell height of 10.7 cm, age 3–5 years) were collected by SCUBA and individually tagged near Parker Island, Bay of Fundy. Half were hung 2 m below the low tide water level and the remainder were placed on the bottom (11 m depth at low tide) under the scallops held at 2 m. Scallop, water and sediment samples were collected monthly for determination of concentrations of PSP toxins and Alexandrium fundyense.In October, 1993, mean concentrations of PSP toxins in digestive gland, and mantle were 3205 and 1018 μg STX eq. 100 g−1 wet weight, respectively. Eight months later (June 1994), PSP concentrations in digestive glands from the surface and bottom had declined to 504 and 682 μg STX eq. 100 g−1 wet weight, respectively, whereas those in the mantle had declined to 802 and 681 μg STX eq. 100 g−1 wet weight. During July 1994, A. fundyense concentrations observed at Parker Island and offshore were 320 cells l−1 and 14,200 cells l−1, respectively. Subsequently, toxin concentrations in surface and bottom scallop digestive glands increased to 12,720 and 11,408 μg STX eq. 100 g−1 wet weight, whereas concentrations in mantles increased to 2126 and 1748 μg STX eq. 100 g−1 wet weight, respectively. Concentrations of PSP toxins in these tissues in October 1994 were similar to those measured in October 1993. Concentrations of PSP toxin were less than the regulatory concentration in the gonads and non-detectable in adductor muscles of all scallops sampled.There were no statistically significant differences in profiles for uptake and depuration of PSP toxins in scallops held at the surface compared to those from bottom, suggesting that A. fundyense cysts at the concentrations found in the sediment (45 cysts cm−3) did not contribute significantly to the year-round presence of PSP toxins within scallop tissues. The year-round occurrence of PSP toxin is probably due to accumulation during summer blooms followed by a very slow rate of depuration.  相似文献

Lyophilized biomass of a Pseudomonas soilisolate adsorbed thorium (IV) (430 mg g–1 dry wt) optimally at pH 4, with 91% of equilibrium loading being reached in 1 min. Equilibrium metal sorption showing conformity to Langmuir isotherm model suggested a monolayered thorium binding. Thorium binding remained unaffected or slightly affected (< 20% inhibition) in presence of equimolar (430 M) concentration of several interfering ions except Fe3+ (40% inhibition). More than 90% of loaded thorium could be recovered using 1 M CaCO3, though mineral acids and Na2CO3 were also effective.  相似文献

The human pathogenic bacterium Helicobacter pylori has been ascertained to be an aetiological agent for chronic active gastritis and a significant determinant in peptic and duodenal ulcer diseases. Endophytic metabolites are being recognized as a versatile arsenal of antimicrobial agents, since some endophytes have been shown to possess superior biosynthetic capabilities owing to their presumable gene recombination with the host, while residing and reproducing inside the healthy plant tissues. A total of 32 endophytic fungi isolated from the medicinal herb Cynodon dactylon(Poaceae) were grown in in vitroculture, and the ethyl acetate extracts of the cultures were examined in vitro for the anti-H. pylori activity. As a result, a total of 16 endophyte culture extracts were identified as having potent anti-H. pyloriactivities. Subsequently, a detailed bioassay-guided fractionation of the extract of the most active endophyte (strain number: CY725) identified as Aspergillussp., was performed to afford eventually four anti-H. pylori secondary metabolites. The four isolated compounds were identified through a combination of spectral and chemical methods (IR, MS, 1H- and 13C-NMR) to be helvolic acid, monomethylsulochrin, ergosterol and 3β-hydroxy-5α,8α-epidioxy- ergosta-6,22-diene with corresponding MICs of 8.0, 10.0, 20.0 and 30.0 μg/ml, respectively. The MIC of ampicillin co-assayed as a reference drug against H. pylori was 2.0 μg/ml. Furthermore, preliminary examination of the antimicrobial spectrum of helvolic acid, the most active anti-H. pylori metabolite characterized from the endophyte culture, showed that it was inhibitory to the growth of Sarcina lutea, Staphylococcus aureusand Candida albicans with MICs of 15.0, 20.0 and 30.0 μg/ml, respectively.  相似文献

PVA-cryogels entrapping about 109 cells of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans per ml of gel were prepared by freezing-thawing procedure, and the biooxidation of Fe2+ by immobilized cells was investigated in a 0.365 l packed-bed bioreactor. Fe2+ oxidation fits a plug-flow reaction model well. A maximum oxidation rate of 3.1 g Fe2+ l–1 h–1 was achieved at the dilution rate of 0.4 h–1 or higher, while no obvious precipitate was determined at this time. In addition, cell-immobilized PVA-cryogels packed in bioreactor maintained their oxidative ability for more than two months under non-sterile conditions. Rate equations and kinetic parameters were obtained for various reactions involved in the bacterial oxidation of pyrite. The rate constants were 3.5 μM Fe2+ per min per FeS2 percent pulp density for the spontaneous pyrite dissolution, 10 μM Fe2+ per min per mM Fe3+ for the indirect leaching with Fe3+, 90 μM O2 per min per mg of wet cells per ml for the Thiobacillus ferrooxidans oxidation of washed pyrite, and 250 μM O2 per min per mg of wet cells per ml for the T. ferrooxidans oxidation of unwashed pyrite. The Km values for pyrite concentration were similar and were 1.9, 2.5, and 2.75% pulp density for indirect leaching, washed pyrite oxidation by T. ferrooxidans, and unwashed pyrite oxidation by T. ferrooxidans, respectively. The last reaction was competitively inhibited by increasing concentrations of cells, with a Ki value of 0.13 mg of wet cells per ml. T. ferrooxidans cells also increased the rate of Fe2+ production from Fe3+ plus pyrite.  相似文献

Summary Iron though indispensable for the biosynthesis of chlorophyll, its total content in the plant was not associated with the occurrence of chlorosis. In order to overcome this inconsistency a new technique of plant iron analysis has been developed. It consists of the determination of Fe2+, the fraction of iron involved in the synthesis of chlorophyll.The choice of 1–10 o-phenanthroline (o-Ph) as an extractant for Fe2+ was based on its remarkably higher stability constant for Fe2+ than Fe3+. On this basis, it could preferentially chelate Fe2+. The highly specific organce colour of the Fe2+-phenanthroline complex made possible the determination of Fe2+ by reading the transmittancy at 510 nm.The procedure involves extraction of 2 g of thoroughly washed, chopped, fresh plant by 20 ml of o-phenanthroline extractant (pH 3.0, conc. 1.5%). The plant samples treated with the extractant are allowed to stand for 16 hours and Fe2+ is determined in the filtrate by reading the transmittancy at 510 nm.In sharp contrast to total iron the green plants always contained more Fe2+ than chlorotic plants. The technique has been developed for rice but is expected to be successful for other crops also.  相似文献

Summary The previously reported inhibition of the oligomerization of HCN by montmorillonite clays was investigated. The inhibition is due to the oxidation of diaminomaleonitrile (DAMN) by the Fe3+ in the clay lattice. Fe2+ and oxalic acid were shown to be the reaction products. From these reaction products and the previous report that two equivalents of HCN are formed per equivalent ofDAMN, it was established that diiminosuccinonitrile (DISN) is the initial reaction product, which is rapidly hydrolyzed to oxalic acid and HCN. The same oxidative transformations are effected by Fe3+ bound to Dowex 50, Fe3+ in solution and Ni(NH3)6 2+. The rate of reaction of DAMN decreased in the order Fe3+ > Fe3+-Dowex > montmorillonite, indicating no catalytic role for the clay in the oxidation of DAMN. Little reaction of DAMN was observed with montmorillonite in which the bulk of the iron was in the Fe2+ oxidation state. The production of extracellular α-amylase by thermotolerant Bacillus subtilis was studied in solid state fermentation (SSF). The effect of wheat bran (WB) and rice husk (RH) was examined. The appropriate incubation period, moisture level, particle size and inoculum concentration was determined. Maximum yields of 159,520 and 21,760 U g−1 were achieved by employing WB and RH as substrates in 0.1 M phosphate buffer at pH 7 with 30% initial moisture content at 24 and 48 h. Particle size and inoculum concentration were found to be 1000 μm, 20% and 500 μm, 15% for WB and RH, respectively. Enzyme yield was 7.3-fold higher with WB medium compared with RH.  相似文献

The growth, biochemical composition and fatty acid profiles of six Antarctic microalgae cultured at different temperatures, ranging from 4, 6, 9, 14, 20 to 30 C, were compared. The algae were isolated from seawater, freshwater, soil and snow samples collected during our recent expeditions to Casey, Antarctica, and are currently deposited in the University of Malaya Algae Culture Collection (UMACC). The algae chosen for the study were Chlamydomonas UMACC 229, Chlorella UMACC 234, Chlorella UMACC 237, Klebsormidium UMACC 227, Navicula UMACC 231 and Stichococcus UMACC 238. All the isolates could grow at temperatures up to 20 C; three isolates, namely Navicula UMACC 231 and the two Chlorella isolates (UMACC 234 and UMACC 237) grew even at 30 C. Both Chlorella UMACC 234 and Stichococcus UMACC 238 had broad optimal temperatures for growth, ranging from 6 to 20 C (μ = 0.19 – 0.22 day–1) and 4 to 14 C (μ = 0.13 – 0.16 day–1), respectively. In contrast, optimal growth temperatures for NaviculaUMACC 231 and Chlamydomonas UMACC 229 were 4 C (μ = 0.34 day–1) and 6–9 C (μ = 0.39 – 0.40 day–1), respectively. The protein content of the Antarctic algae was markedly affected by culture temperature. All except Navicula UMACC 231 and Stichococcus UMACC 238 contained higher amount of proteins when grown at low temperatures (6–9 C). The percentage of PUFA, especially 20:5 in Navicula UMACC 231 decreased with increasing culture temperature. However, the percentages of unsaturated fatty acids did not show consistent trend with culture temperature for the other algae studied.  相似文献

以羊草幼苗为研究对象,通过调整全营养培养基(CK,0.05 mmol/L Fe2+、0.015 mmol/L Zn2+)中铁或者锌含量设置0、10倍、20倍Fe2+(Zn2+)浓度处理Fe0(Zn0)、Fe10(Zn10)、Fe20(Zn20),以及在高铁培养基中单独添加0.15 mmol/L Zn2+或同时添加10 mmol/L Ca2+、5 mmol/L Mg2+、20 mmol/L K+处理,测定培养6 d后幼苗生长指标和矿质元素含量、以及高铁(Fe20)处理下幼苗根中抗氧化指标和相关基因表达量,探究不同浓度Fe2+、Zn2+对羊草幼苗生长、矿质元素吸收积累及抗氧化指标、基因表达的影响。结果表明:(1)缺锌(Zn0)显著抑制羊草幼苗鲜重的增加和Zn元素的积累,但促进Fe、Mg元素的积累;高浓度锌(Zn10、Zn20)显著促进幼苗叶片生长和Zn元素的积累;缺铁(Fe0)显著抑制幼苗的根长、鲜重和Fe元素的积累,促进Mg、Zn元素的积累;高浓度铁(Fe10、Fe20)显著抑制羊草幼苗根叶生长、根毛发育和Ca、Zn、Mg、K元素的积累。(2)增加Zn2+和Ca2+、Mg2+、K+浓度无法恢复高铁胁迫对幼苗生长的抑制作用。(3)高浓度铁(Fe20)处理羊草幼苗48 h后,根部过氧化物酶、超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化氢酶、抗坏血酸过氧化物酶、谷胱甘肽还原酶活性和丙二醛、抗坏血酸、还原型谷胱甘肽含量显著升高;烟酰胺合成酶基因、过氧化物酶基因表达量显著下调,植物类萌发素蛋白基因表达量显著上调。研究发现,羊草幼苗生长发育和矿质元素积累对环境中Zn2+浓度变化不敏感,却受到环境中高浓度Fe2+的显著抑制,并造成严重的氧化胁迫伤害,这种伤害无法在添加Zn2+或同时添加Ca2+、Mg2+、K+的条件下恢复。  相似文献

Eighteen fungal strains were isolated from water and soil samples and tested for their ability to enrich chromium. The microorganism with the highest enrichment capacity, a zygomycete (Mucor hiemalis MP/92/3/4), was chosen for detailed investigations. Some basic tests such as the pH-dependence, the kinetics of the enrichment and the metal selectivity were carried out with the two most frequent oxidation states of chromium, the trivalent cation (Cr3+) and the hexavalent anion (CrO4 2–). With Cr3+ the enrichment showed a saturation kinetic reaching 70% of the maximum capacity after about 30 min, whereas with CrO4 2– a linear time course with a much lower metal enrichment was observed. The highest level of enrichment for Cr3+ was observed at pH 5.5 (21.4 mg/g dry wt), and for CrO4 2– at pH 1 (4.3 mg/g dry wt). Investigations concerning the metal enrichment selectivity resulted in the following series of decreasing ion uptake: Cr3+ > Cu2+ > Pb2+ > Ag+ > Al3+ > Co2+ > Zn2+ > Ni2+ > Fe2+ > Mo5+ > Cd2+ > 2– > CrO4 2– > VO3–, calculated on a molar basis. Trivalent chromium caused a staining of the outer cell wall region in transmission electron microscopy. The localization of chromium in the stained outer layers of the cell wall could be verified by electron energy loss spectroscopy. The enrichment of Cr3+ by M. hiemalis seemed to be mainly a passive biosorption to the cell wall, whereas for the uptake of CrO4 2– intracellular accumulation as well as biosorption is possible.  相似文献
