Acrylic acid was detected in sea water in which oysters had been maintained and was shown to be derived from unicellular algae containing dimethyl-β-propiothetin (DMPT). Anticoliform activity was noted in samples containing acrylic acid. Intensification of the effect was achieved in laboratory studies and Phaeodactylum tricornutum (DMPT present) caused a rapid decline of Escherichia coli populations in sea water and in oysters which had been fed this alga. Pavlova lutheri (DMPT absent) was ineffective against E. coli .  相似文献

次第选用固体培养基、有机培养溶液和无机培养溶液,通过改善培养条件,从凤眼莲的腋芽培养出生长正常的无菌苗。用生物检测法测试无菌苗对衣藻的克制效应。试验结果表明,在无根际微生物着生的条件下,凤眼莲种植水仍然显示了克藻作用,说明克藻物质是由凤眼莲本身分泌的,不是由根际微生物所产生的。  相似文献

A small rod, capable of forming crater-like plaques on lawns of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, was isolated from a marine environment. The isolate was a gram-negative straight rod with round ends and was small in size, equal to that of halophilic Bdellovibrio strain 5501. The isolate appeared to have close taxonomic relationships to Cytophaga, since this bacterium moved slowly in a gliding manner on a solid agar surface, hydrolyzed agar and starch, contained yellow pigment and was halophilic. The isolate was able to grow not only under host-dependent but also under host-independent conditions when low nutrient media were used for cultivation, and its bacteriolytic mode was different from that of Bdellovibrio, an endoparasite. The isolate was halophilic and required Mg++ and Ca++ in addition to 3% saline for growth. The isolate showed a broad host range when tested for plaque-forming activity on gram-negative bacteria but not on the gram-positive bacteria tested so far.  相似文献

Halophilic Bdellovibrio, which is parasitic and lytic to Vibrio parahaemolyticus, was isolated from fresh sea water in the winter. It had a lethal effect on V. parahaemolyticus. The optimum temperature for multiplication ranged from 25 C to 30 C and growth was not observed at 35 C. Plaque numbers of the isolate reached a maximum in 17 hr under conditions of shaking at 25 C in autoclaved sea water supplemented with V. parahaemolyticus cells, and were as high as ten times the number of host cells. With respect to the host-suspended medium, the isolate multiplied in natural sea water ten times more than in Herbst's artificial sea water but did not grow in saline. V. parahaemolyticus, Vibrio alginolyticus and several species in the Vibrio genus were susceptible to the parasite on the basis of plaque formation but Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were not.  相似文献

以红树林伴生植物海马齿为研究对象,通过水培试验系统考察了海马齿植株在不同淡海水组合培养条件下的生长和生理变化,以探讨海马齿植株盐环境的适应性和耐盐机制.结果显示,随着培养液中海水比例增加,海马齿植株生长速度变慢,节间变短,叶片肉质化程度加重,但都能健康生长并完成其固有的生长周期.随着培养液中海水比例的增加,海马齿植株叶片叶绿素含量、蛋白质含量以及节间长度均呈下降趋势,可溶性糖、脯氨酸含量和茎周长却逐渐增加,叶片水分含量和根系活力先升高后降低,而叶片干物质和丙二醛含量则呈先降低后升高趋势.2∶1淡/海水组合培养液中海马齿植株的长势最好,根系活力最强.研究结果表明,海马齿植株最适宜在一定比例的淡/海水培养液中或一定盐浓度环境下生长,其具有很强的耐盐碱特性,渗透调节是其适应外界盐胁迫的机制之一.  相似文献

The winter-spring phytoplankton flora in the coastal waters of the northern Bothnian Sea consists mainly of marine cold water species even adapted to low light. These dinoflagellates and diatoms seem to be selectively promoted by the seven months of low light and water temperature. They are able to grow during this period of subsaturated light and have their abundance maxima around ice-break. Solar radiation measured under ice and snow cover was in the same order of magnitude as the compensation points of some of the species. In summer, these algae species vanish from the water, and surely survive in the form of inactive life stages.  相似文献

The contents of heavy metals in Sargassum algae and seagrasses from Pos'et Bay in the Sea of Japan were studied. The concentrations of Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, and Cr in the algae and seagrass leaves were correlated with each other. The concentrations of heavy metals in brown algae and seagrasses from Pos'et Bay were largely close to background levels. Increased contents of some metals found in macrophytes in the area of the port of Pos'et were due to local environmental pollution; around Furugel'm Island, to periodical upwelling and drift currents from the mouth of the Tumannaya River; and, at Cape Deger, to the cyclonic current.  相似文献

Seasonal changes in the content of alginic acid and fuccidan have been studied in four species of fucus algae from the Barents Sea: Fucus vesiculosus, F. distichus, F. serratus, and Ascophyllum nodosum. These polysaccharides are accumulated in the biomass of the algae during summer and autumn. To ensure complete processing of fucus algae it is recommended that the raw material be harvested within this period.  相似文献

A system has been developed for the culture of algae on a 3–5l scale under controlled axenic conditions. Light/dark regimescan be altered for the induction of synchrony and an automaticculture dilution system with new media has been developed. Theresults are shown for Platymonas striata. It was possible toinduce synchrony by a regime of 14 h light and 10 h darknessper 24 h. This synchrony could be maintained for many cyclesby the removal of half the culture daily and its replacementwith fresh medium 4 h after the onset of the light period. Cellseparation commenced at the onset of the light period and wascompleted after 4 h. No cell separation occurred during theremainder of the 24 h cycle. A system for automatic samplingof the axenic culture at known time intervals is described.  相似文献

The seasonally ice-covered regions of the Southern Ocean havedistinctive ecological systems due to the growth of microalgaein sea ice. Although sea ice microalgal production is exceededby phytoplankton production on an annual basis in most offshoreregions of the Southern Ocean, blooms of sea ice algae differconsiderably from the phytoplankton in terms of timing and distribution.Thus sea ice algae provide food resources for higher trophiclevel organisms in seasons and regions where water column biologicalproduction is low or negligible. A flux of biogenic materialfrom sea ice to the water column and benthos follows ice melt,and some of the algal species are known to occur in ensuingphytoplankton blooms. A review of algal species in pack iceand offshore plankton showed that dominance is common for threespecies: Phaeocystis antarctica, Fragilariopsis cylindrus andFragilariopsis curta. The degree to which dominance by thesespecies is a product of successional processes in sea ice communitiescould be an important in determining their biogeochemical contributionto the Southern Ocean and their ability to seed blooms in marginalice zones.  相似文献

选用铜绿微囊藻(Microcystis aeruginosa)和脆杆藻(Fragilariasp.)为试验材料,在不同锌离子浓度下对2类微藻的增殖影响进行研究分析.藻类增长潜力(AGP)实验结果显示,在Zn2 浓度为0.02~1.00μg/L的液体培养基中,铜绿微囊藻的生长增殖快,Zn2 浓度达到100.00μg/L时,受到明显抑制.Zn2 浓度在0.02μg/L时,脆杆藻的生长繁殖快,Zn2 浓度>0.10μg/L后,则受到不同程度的抑制.  相似文献

Permeabilized cells of a highly enriched, toluene-mineralizing, methanogenic culture catalyzed the addition of toluene to fumarate to form benzylsuccinate under anaerobic conditions. The specific in vitro rate of benzylsuccinate formation was >85% of the specific in vivo rate of toluene consumption. This is the first report of benzylsuccinate synthase activity in a methanogenic culture; the activity has previously been reported to occur in denitrifying, sulfate-reducing, and anoxygenic phototrophic bacteria.  相似文献
