A new species of the monotypic genus Pseudohypocrea is described based on a collection from Tai Po Kau, Hong Kong, China. The fungus is characterized by globose to subglobose perithecia entirely immersed in a pulvinate reddish-brown stroma, cylindrical asci with smooth-walled and lemon-shaped part-ascospores, and occurring on dead leaves. Morphological features of the new species are described and compared with the only known species of the genus.poi  相似文献

Abstract. The ant genus lshakidris from Sarawak is described as new. Its relationships with the Brasilian monotypic genus Phalacromyrmex Kempf and the Malagasy monotypic genus Pilotrochus Brown are discussed, and the Phalacromyrmex genus-group is established to hold the three genera. The resemblances of lshakidris to the smithistrumiform dacetine genus Glamymmyrmex Wheeler and the agroecomyrmecine genus Tatuidris Brown & Kempf are discussed and the similarities are analysed as the results of convergence in the characters concerned.  相似文献

The fossil species Architipula fragmentosa (Bode) comb. nov. (Diptera: Nematocera: Limoniidae) from the German Upper Lias (Lower Jurassic) is redescribed. This species was originally described by Bode (1953) in a new monotypic genus as Eoasilidea fragmentosa and placed in the Brachycera, with Eoasilidea as the type-genus of a new family Eoasilidae. This family is here synonymized with the Limoniidae (Nematocera), and the genus Eoasilidea is synonymized with Architipula Handlirsch .  相似文献

This paper constitutes a revisionary treatment of the Encyrtid subtribe Dinocarsiina as defined by Kerrich (1967). The genera there listed are studied, together with Praleurocerus Agarwal and Aeptencyrtus De Santis, which are here included. Encyrtolophus De Santis is treated as a subgenus of Chrysoplatycerus Ashmead although it is very distinct from the type species of that genus. A new genus is proposed for Tropidophryne flandersi Compare. All specíes are redescribed with exception of two belonging to monotypic genera. Five species are described as new.  相似文献

The new species Vigna monantha ( V. subgen. Vigna sect. Catjang ) from coastal dunes of northern and central Somalia, and V. virescens ( V. subgen. Macrorhynchus ) from the inland of central and southern Somalia are described and illustrated. V. virescens is unique in Vigna by having branched stylar hairs, a character indicating a relationship between V. subgen. Macrorhynchus and the monotypic Wajira.  相似文献

A new species, K. carlsbergiana , is described in what is currently considered a monotypic genus. The new species is only known from permanent streams in the Arssi and Bale regions of S Ethiopia. The delimitation and position of the genus is reconsidered in light of the additional information provided by the new species. The distinctiveness of the genus is reconfirmed whilst no new clues to possible relationships with other genera were observed. The taxonomy of the other species, K. laniflora (Forssk.) R. Br., is also briefly reconsidered.  相似文献

Pollen grains from 15 species (18 taxa) of the genus Filipendula were examined with light and scan-ning electron microscopy. It was revealed that the pollen grains are isopolar, tricolporate, with scabrate or scabrate-microechinate surface. The pollen morphology was compared with the conventional classification sys-tems of the genus by different authors, and supported Shimizu's system (1961), in which the genus was divided into three subgenera. The monotypic subgen. Hypogyna is characterized by pollen lacking fastigium and thickened costae colpi. The other monotypic subgen. Filipendula differs from others by pollen having larger grain, larger pore size, longitudinally elliptic fastigium and thickened costae colpi. The largest subgen. Ulmaria is distinguished by pollen having rounded or latitudinally elliptic fastigium and thickened costae colpi. Sectional classification was not supported by the pollen morphology due to insufficient variability.  相似文献

Crabbea is expanded to include the monotypic Golaea and Acanthostelma , both endemic in northern Somalia. The new combinations C. migiurtina (= Golaea migiurtina ) and C. thymifolia (= Acanthostelma thymifolium ) are made and the names are lectotypified. The new species C. pinnatifida and C. albolutea , both endemic in Somalia, are described and illustrated.  相似文献

Abstract Selected character states of the presumed allies of Pseudopyxis are described, compared and discussed. Particular attention is paid to the fruits and diaspores and their ways of development and differentiation. It is presumed that 1) Pseudopyxis and Serissa are closely allied, that 2) these two genera are, in turn, closely related to Leptodermis and the monotypic Spermadictyon (the latter possibly not generically distinct from the former), that 3) Paederia loosely links up to four mentioned genera, and that 4) the monotypic Aitchisonia stands rather isolated on account of various peculiarities.  相似文献

Available data on the tetramoriine ant genus Rhoptromyrmex Mayr are reviewed. The genus is redefined for all castes and the monotypic genus Hagioxenus Forel, formerly placed in the Monomorium-group , is synonymized with Rhoptromyrmex. A new species (caritus) is described from Uganda and keys to known workers, females and males are presented. Nest founding by the females, two of which appear autoparasitic and two of which are inquilines, is discussed and the evolutionary pathway of inquilines reviewed. Current taxonomic data on all species are summarized.  相似文献

A hypothesis (CI=57.3%) on the evolutionary relationships of families comprising the class Monogenoidea is proposed based on 141 character states in 47 homologous series and employing phylogenetic systematics. Based on the analysis, three subclasses, the Polyonchoinea, Polystomatoinea and Oligonchoinea, are recognised. The analysis supports independent origins of the Montchadskyellidae within the Polyonchoinea and of the Neodactylodiscidae and Amphibdellatidae within the order Dactylogyridea (Polyonchoinea); the suborder Montchadskyellinea is raised to ordinal status and new suborders Neodactylodiscinea and Amphibdellatinea are proposed to reflect these origins. The Gyrodactylidea (Polyonchoinea) is supported by three synapomorphies and comprises the Gyrodactylidae, Anoplodiscidae, Tetraonchoididae and Bothitrematidae. The analysis supports recognition of the Polystomatoinea comprising Polystomatidae and Sphyranuridae. Evolutionary relationships within the Oligonchoinea indicate independent origins of three ordinal taxa, the Chimaericolidea (monotypic), Diclybothriidea (including Diclybothriidae and Hexabothriidae) and Mazocraeidea (with five suborders). The suborder Mazocraeinea comprises the Plectanocotylidae, Mazocraeidae and Mazoplectidae, and is characterised by two synapomorphies. The suborder Gastrocotylinea, characterised by presence of accessory sclerites in the haptoral sucker, is divided into two infraorders, the monotypic Anthocotylina infraorder novum and Gastrocotylina. Two superfamilies of the Gastrocotylina are recognised, the Protomicrocotyloidea and Gastrocotyloidea; the Pseudodiclidophoridae is considered incertae sedis within the Gastrocotylina. The suborder Discocotylinea comprises the Discocotylidae, Octomacridae and Diplozoidae and is supported by four synapomorphies. The monotypic Hexostomatinea suborder novum is proposed to reflect an independent origin of the Hexostomatidae within the Mazocraeidea. The terminal suborder Microcotylinea comprises four superfamilies, the Microcotyloidea, Allopyragraphoroidea, Diclidophoroidea and Pyragraphoroidea. The analysis supports incorporation of the Pterinotrematidae in the Pyragraphoroidea and rejection of the monotypic order Pterinotrematidea. The following taxa are also rejected for reasons of paraphyly and/or polyphyly: Articulonchoinea, Bothriocotylea, Eucotylea, Monoaxonematidea, Tetraonchidea, Gotocotyloidea, Anchorophoridae and Macrovalvitrematidae. The Sundanonchidae, Iagotrematidae and Microbothriidae were not included in the analysis because of lack of pertinent information regarding character states.  相似文献

A new bufonid amphibian, belonging to a new monotypic genus, is described from the Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal, Republic of India, based on unique external morphological and skeletal characters which are compared with those of known Oriental and other relevant bufonid genera. Blythophryne gen. n. is distinguished from other bufonid genera by its small adult size (mean SVL 24.02 mm), the presence of six presacral vertebrae, an absence of coccygeal expansions, presence of an elongated pair of parotoid glands, expanded discs at digit tips and phytotelmonous tadpoles that lack oral denticles. The taxonomic and phylogenetic position of the new taxon (that we named as Blythophryne beryet gen. et sp. n.) was ascertained by comparing its 12S and 16S partial genes with those of Oriental and other relevant bufonid lineages. Resulting molecular phylogeny supports the erection of a novel monotypic genus for this lineage from the Andaman Islands of India.  相似文献

CRISP, M. D. & TAYLOR, J. M., 1990. A new species of Bentleya E. Bennett (Pittosporaceae) from southern Western Australia. Hitherto Bentleya has been a monotypic genus known from a restricted area in south-west Western Australia. This paper describes a second species which was discovered recently in the same region. The new species differs from B. spinescens in its remarkable habit but shares with it several floral characters which are unique within the family.  相似文献
