Taxonomy of the Cidariini (Lepidoptera, Geometridae) in Korea (I)

ABSTRACT Among forty species of the Korean Cidariini, a tribe of Larentiinae (Lepidoptera, Geometridae), nineteen species of ten genera are revised: Ecliptopera Warren, Lampropteryx Stephens, Eustroma Hübner, Eveeliptopera Inoue, Lobogonodes Bastelberger, Hysterura Warren, Sibatania Inoue, Eulithis Hiibner, Gandaritis Moore, and Electrophaes Prout. The diagnostic characters and monophyly of each genus are provided. Figures of adults including male and female genitalia, and distribution maps in Korea are also provided.

本文详细地记述了波尺蛾亚科Eupithecia abietaria debrunneata Staudinger, E. spadix Inoue 及Telenomeuta punctimarginaria (Leech) 幼虫的形态特征.     

Taxonomic study of the genus Trichopteryx Hübner (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) in Korea

The larentiine genus Trichopteryx Hübner in Korea is reviewed. Nine species, including one newly recorded species, T. misera (Butler), are recognized. Diagnostic characters of each species with photographs of adults and genitalia are provided. A key to the Korean species is also given.     

Notes on Casmara agronoma Meyrick (Lepidoptera,Oecophoridae) in Korea

In this paper, we report C. agronoma Meyrick for the first time from South Korea. Photographs of adults and genitalia are provided, with brief comments on distribution and biology.     

Taxonomy of the genus Lispe Latreille (Diptera: Muscidae) in Korea

In this paper, a total of four species of the genus Lispe are treated. Of these, L. assimilis Wiedemann and L. litorea Fallén are reported for the first time in Korea. A key to the Korean species, their domestic localities, and some illustrations are given.     

Lemyra flammeola (Moore) (Lepidoptera,Arctiidae), new to Korea

An arctiine species Lemyra flammeola (Moore) is newly recorded from Korea. Three specimens of L. flammeola were collected on the island of Jejudo in September of 2009. Here we provide a diagnosis and systematic account of L. flammeola. Up to now 79 species of Arctiidae have been recorded from the Korean peninsula.     

New record of Trisuloides rotundipennis Sugi (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae: Pantheinae) from Korea

In the present study, a noctuid species, Trisuloides rotundipennis Sugi, is reported for the first time from Korea. External characteristics and female genitalia and habitus of this species are illustrated, and information on host plant and distributional range is provided.     

Six species of Tortricinae (Lepidoptera, Tortricidae) new to North Korea

Six species of Tortricinae based on the materials in the Hungarian Natural History Museum were added to the North Korean fauna: Aethes rectilineana (Caradja), Gynnidomorpha luridana (Gregson), G. permixtana (Denis & Shiffermüller), Alceris uniformis (Filipjev), Eana vetulana (Christoph) and Neocalyptis angustilineata (Walsingham). Photos of adults and the genitalia are provided with brief comments on the distribution.     

Taxonomy of Tabanus cordiger Species Group (Diptera: Tabanidae) in Korea

ABSTRACT Horseflies of the Tabanus cordiger species group from Korea is revised taxonomically. A total of four species are arranged herein: T. divulsus sp. nov., T. fulvimedioides, T. kinoshitai and T. loukashkini. A key to discriminate species, annotated check lists of domestic records, and collection data for each species are provided.
