A new species of the genus <Emphasis Type="Italic">Pediasia</Emphasis> (Lepidoptera,Pyraloidea) from mountains of Transbaikalia

The new pyraloid moth species, Pediasia lidiella Streltzov et Ustjuzhanin, sp. n. (Lepidoptera, Crambidae), is described from the Udokan Range (northeastern Transbaikalia, Russia). The type material is deposited in the collection of the Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg).

A review of Palaearctic species of the <Emphasis Type="Italic">Eurytoma cynipsea</Emphasis> group (Hymenoptera,Eurytomidae) with a description of a new species from Iran

A review of the Palaearctic species of the Eurytoma cynipsea group with 15 species is given. A key to species is provided. A new species, Eurytoma melikai sp. n. from Iran, is described. Eu. melikai sp. n. is most closely related to Eu. hybrida Zer., but differs in the shorter and globular metasoma in the female and the thicker and darker marginal vein in both sexes. The type material is deposited in the collection of the Schmalhausen Zoological Institute, National Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Kiev.     

A New Subspecies of the Robber Fly <Emphasis Type="Italic">Dioctria meridionalis</Emphasis> Bezzi, 1898 (Diptera,Asilidae) from Daghestan

A new subspecies Dioctria meridionalis dagestanicasubsp. n. from Daghestan is described with photographs of details of the external structures and male genitalia, based on the collection of the Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg). Lectotype of Dioctria meridionalis Bezzi, 1898, described from Italy, is designated in the collection of the Zoological Institute, St. Petersburg, and its photographs are provided.     

A review of the Palaearctic species of the genus Eurytoma, belonging to the E. robusta species-group (Hymenoptera, Eurytomidae), with description of two new species

A review of Palaearctic species of the Eurytoma robusta group is given. This group includes 46 species. A key to these species is provided. Two new species, Eurytoma ibaraca Zerova, sp. n. from Japan and E. clarissae Zerova, sp. n. from Israel, are described. E. ibaraca is close to E. armenica Zer., but differs from it in the longer metasoma of the female, longer funicular segments, longer postmarginal vein, and sharp prominence on the fore coxa. E. clarissae is similar to E. asiatica Zer., but differs from it in the bulging fore coxa and longer postmarginal vein. The type material is deposited in the collection of the Shmalhausen Zoological Institute, National Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (Kiev).     

A new species of the genus <Emphasis Type="Italic">Copidosoma</Emphasis> (Hymenoptera,Chalcidoidea, Encyrtidae) from Israel

A new species of the genus Copidosoma from Israel is described. The female of Copidosoma trjapitzini is similar to those of C. scutellare, C. agrotis, and C. cuproviride. All the four species possess a similar mesosomal sculpture, coarse on the mesoscutum and more or less striate on the scutellum, and the solid clava obliquely truncate at apex. C. trjapitzini differs from C. agrotis in the larger size and from C. cuproviride, in the black head and mesosoma. The type material is deposited in the collection of the Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology (Ukraine, Kiev); two paratypes, at the Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg).     

New records of the sea anemone <Emphasis Type="Italic">Ptychodactis patula</Emphasis> Appellöf, 1893 (Anthozoa: Actiniaria) in the northern and far eastern Seas of Russia

Twenty-two samples of a rare sea anemone Ptychodactis patula having an unusual structure were found in the collection of the Zoological Institute (Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg). This species was previously referred to the small order Ptychodactiaria, which included only three species. P. apatula was known only from the coasts of Norway (the type locality), Iceland, and the Bering Strait. Our samples greatly exceed the materials thus far published, both in the number of specimens and their places of discovery.     

New records of the plant bug subfamilies Bryocorinae,Deraeocorinae, and Mirinae (Heteroptera: Miridae) from the European part of Russia

New records of plant bug species are given for selected regions of European Russia based on the extensive collections of the Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg). The locality data and general distribution are given for all the 71 species included.

中国螳小蜂属一新种及二新纪录种(膜翅目,长尾小蜂科)

研究了长尾小蜂科长尾小蜂亚科螳小蜂属Podagrion Spinola,1811,描述1新种短脉螳小蜂Podagrion breviveirus sp.nov．及2新纪录种拟螳小蜂Podagrion isos Grissell ＆ Goodpasture和喀拉拉螳小蜂Podagrion keralensis Narendran。新种短脉螳小蜂Podagrion breviveinus sp.nov．与其它两种的主要区别是：触角棒节不膨大,棒节长度明显短于B．F7长度之和;并胸腹节2条亚中脊之间的夹角为锐角;前翅缘脉为后缘脉的8倍;产卵鞘长度约为体长的1．5倍。模式标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所动物标本馆。     

中国四斑金小蜂属分类研究及二新种记述(膜翅目：金小蜂科)

记述了中国金小蜂科金小蜂亚科的四斑金小蜂属(Cheiropachus Westwood,1828)5个种,包括2新种：马氏四斑金小蜂C. mai新种分布于甘肃(兰州);细体四斑金小蜂C. vimineus新种分布于北京。文中提供了分种检索表、新种形态描述和特征图。模式标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所动物 标本馆。     

A collection of ixodoid ticks at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Its unique features and significance for fundamental problems of taxonomy and some aspects of natural nidality

The paper describes the unique qualities of the collection of ixodoid ticks kept at the Zoological Institute RAS (St. Petersburg), which distinguish it among the world collections: the presence of representative geographic series within the species ranges, comprising all the active development stages. The fundamental and applied results achieved based on the properties of this collection are briefly summarized. Its contribution to the studies of different aspects of natural nidality of ticks is analyzed. The topical lines of research conducted on the basis of the collection at present and in future are considered.     

New records of the plant bug subfamilies Orthotylinae and Phylinae (Heteroptera,Miridae) from the European part of Russia

New records of plant bug species of the subfamilies Orthotylinae and Phylinae are given for selected regions of European Russia based on the extensive collections of the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg). The locality data and general distribution are presented for all the 97 species included in the list.     

奥金小蜂属一新种及二新纪录种(膜翅目,金小蜂科)

研究了金小蜂科金小蜂亚科奥金小蜂属Oxysychus Delucchi,1956,描述1新种褐棒奥金小蜂Oxysychus fusciclavula sp.nov.及2新纪录种:斯氏奥金小蜂Oxysychus silvestru(Masi)和纽奥金小蜂Oxysychus nupserhae(Dutt＆Ferriere).新种褐棒奥金小蜂Oxysychusfusciclavula sp.nov 与其它两种的主要区别是:胸部明显隆起;前胸背板前缘无脊;盾纵沟伸至中胸盾片3/4;触角除棒节褐色外其余为黄色;柄后腹长为宽的3.2倍.模式标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所动物标本馆.     

Fauna of Calcareous Sponges (Calcarea) in Russian Waters of the Sea of Japan

Based on the collection of the Zoological Institute (Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg) and the data available in the literature, a list of calcareous sponges (Calcarea) of the Russian waters of the Sea of Japan was compiled. It comprises 15 species belonging to ten genera and seven families. Among these sponges, five species were found in the Sea of Japan for the first time: Leucetta poculiformis (Hozawa), Sycon protectum Lambe, Grantia uchidai Hozawa et Tanita, Heteropia medioarticulata Hozawa, and Leucopsila stilifera (Schmidt). Data on the distribution and ecology of the calcareous sponges in the area of study are reported.     

中国小赫甲螨属一新种记述(甲螨亚目,小赫甲螨科)(英文)

记述了采自我国西藏和甘肃的小赫甲螨属1新种,郑氏小赫甲螨Hermannniella zhengisp.nov.。模式标本保存在中国科学院动物研究所国家动物博物馆。郑氏小赫甲螨,新种Hermanniella zhengisp.nov.(图1~16)新种以后背板背面小孔状花纹与杜氏小赫甲螨H.dubininiSitnikova,1973、微毛小赫甲螨H.microsetosa Hammer,1966、长毛小赫甲螨H.longisetosaHammer,1966相似,但新种以吻端有凹陷和后背板第3若螨毛f1指向前而不同于这3个已知种。除此之外,新种与杜氏小赫甲螨的区别为:新种梁毛与梁间毛端部尖,感器端部无膨大,被稀疏小刺,后背板背面小孔状花纹的6个点(有时为5或7个)间由细线连接成规则多边形,后缘成体毛4对,光滑;杜氏小赫甲螨梁毛和梁间毛端部钝圆,感器端部被小刺且略膨大,后背板背面花纹为无细线相连的不规则分散小孔,后缘5对成体毛,略被小刺。新种与微毛小赫甲螨的区别为:新种吻毛外表面被小刺,后背板背面花纹为大小均一的小孔,小孔之间有细线连成规则多边形;微毛小赫甲螨吻毛光滑,后背板上的小孔状花纹排列规则,成行但不连接成...
