A new genus of ferns,Sinephropteris, is described from southeast Asia. Its one species,S. delavayi (Franch.) Mickel, has most recently been placed inSchaffneria, an otherwise monotypic Mexican genus, but there is evidence that they are not closely related.  相似文献

A new genus of freshwater hoplonemertean from New Zealand   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Potamonemertes percivali , a new freshwater hoplonemertean from the Selwyn River, New Zealand, is described. It is more closely related to the antipodean prosorhochmid supralittoral and terrestrial genera Acteonemertes and Geonemertes than to the only other freshwater hoplonemertean genus Prostoma,* but possesses a distinctive combination of characters which establish it as a new genus and species.  相似文献

One new leafhopper genus, Circinans, is described with a new species Circinans striata sp. n. as the type species from southern China. Habitus photos and illustrations of male genitalia of this new species are given and differences between the new genus and closely related genera are discussed.  相似文献

A new genus and species, Megalara garuda is described from Sulawesi (Indonesia). The new species is one the largest known members of the crabronid subfamily Larrinae. It has a unique suite of putatively apomorphic morphological characters and is most closely related to the genus Paraliris. We found indications of a significant allometric variation in body size and mandibular length and shape in male Megalara, and the presence of acarinaria at least in females of the new genus. Allometric variation and acarinaria have previously been shown to occur in Paraliris, which is another indication for a close relationship of Megalara and Paraliris.  相似文献

Ichthyostoma thulinii , a new genus and species from Central Somalia and SE Ethiopia is described. Ichthyostoma is best placed in Acanthoideae - Odontoneminae, but is not closely related to any extant genus in that group.  相似文献

A new genus and species from Mexico,Metastevia hintonii, is described. The genus, considered to be closely related to and derived fromStevia, differs in seven morphological features from all known species ofStevia. The reasons for recognizing the new genus are discussed in detail.  相似文献

Ten new teleomorphic species, two status novus taxa and two new combinations in the genus Prospodium are established. The following anamorphs, all closely related to the genus Prospodium, also are proposed: the genus Canasta, its two new species and a new combination, three new combinations for the genus Uredo.  相似文献

A new genus and species of a dendrochirotid holothurian, Pawsonellus africanus , from shallow waters off the east coast of Southern Africa, are described. The new genus is compared with several genera within the family Cucumariidae and it is concluded that it is not closely related to any of them. Although its body wall spicules strongly resemble those of Panningia hyndmani (Thompson), notably the typical form described by Madsen (1942), there are several features which suggest that the two species are not congeneric.  相似文献

A new genus of small-flowered Loranthaceae,Maracanthus, is described from northernmost Colombia and adjacent Venezuela.Maracanthus has indeterminate, spicate inflorescences with decussate, sessile flowers, each bracteolate. It is most closely related toOryctanthus but differs in being functionally dioecious, in having smooth pollen grains, and in lacking the stellate fiber bundles characteristic ofOryctanthus leaves. There are two species,M. chlamydatus (Rizzini) Kuijt (the type species), andM. pedunculatus Kuijt, a new species.  相似文献

Recent systematic studies ofBartsia andOdontites showed the necessity to exclude the closely related perennial speciesBartsia aspera (Portugal and northern Morocco) andBartsia spicata (Central Pyrenees) from the genusBartsia as a segregate genus namedNothobartsia. Morphologically this new genus combines characteristic features ofBartsia and ofOdontites. Its autonomous systematic position is supported by the cladistic analysis, showing thatNothobartsia represents a relatively primitive genus standing close to the common ancestral root ofBartsia, Euphrasia, andOdontites.  相似文献

A new monotypical genus with a new species, Phormotegus lenociniosus gen. et sp. n., is described from Argentina. The new genus is closely related to the genera Taosa Distant and Brachytaosa Muir, but differs from them in the reticulate venation of the submacropterous fore wings with outcurved apices and in the unique position of the hind wings projecting laterally from the apices of the fore wings.  相似文献

HAY, A., 1992. A new Australian genus of Araceae, with notes on generic limits and biogeography of the Areae . A monotypic aroid genus is described from Melville Island, Northern Territory, Australia. The genus is diagnosed in the tribe Areae by its tubular spathe base divided into two chambers by an annular septum. The genus is most closely related to Sauromatum and to some Asiatic, not Australian, species of Typhonium . It is proposed that the geography of the Areae (including Arum, Dracunculus etc.) may now suggest a Gondwanan (rather than Laurasian) and hence Cretaceous (rather than much more recent) origin for the tribe, and its dual arrival in Malesia.  相似文献

A new genus and species, Undulopsychopsis alexigen. et sp. n., is described from the Early CretaceousYixian Formation of western Liaoning Province, China. This genus is probably most closely related to the Asian Cretaceous genus Kagapsychops Fujiyama, 1978. The family affinity of Undulopsychopsisgen. n. is discussed. The genus is preliminarily assigned to Psychopsidae, although it shares some character states with Osmylopsychopidae (e.g., crossveins are very scarce; Rs1 and 1A are multi-branched).  相似文献

A new genus and species Microdocnemis xerophilicus gen. et sp. n. of the tenebrionid-beetle tribe Helopini is described from southwestern Turkey. The new genus belongs to the cylindrinotoid group of genera and is closely related to the genus Odocnemis Allard, 1876 in the structure of the male genitalia and female genital tubes and in the denticulation of the inner margin of the fore tibia. Microdocnemis differs from Odocnemis in the following characters: body very weakly flattened dorsally and ventrally; apical part of elytra, body ventrally, and epipleura with hairs; anal sternite with double bordering; apical margins of tibiae with short thick spines. The only species of the new genus inhabits xerophytic stony biotopes and has been found under stones; the species of the genus Odocnemis live on tree trunks covered with lichens.  相似文献

Filibryum, a new genus of the family Hypnaceae, is described to include three species from East Asia. Filibryum ogatae and F. yakoushimae are transferred to it from the genus Glossadelphus, while F. deguchianum is a newly described species. The genus is distinguished by the absence of a central strand in the stem, prorate leaf cells, and heteroblastic and deciduous stem leaves. Molecular data suggest that the genus is closely related to Taxiphyllum and the phylogenetic position of the new genus in the Hypnaceae is supported by an approximately unbiased (AU) test.  相似文献

A new genus and species of Dipterocarpaceae,Pseudomonotes tropenbosii, from Amazonian Colombia is described and illustrated. This new taxon, which appears most closely related to the subfamily Monotoideae, is the second reported occurrence of a member of the family in the Neotropics. The new entity differs from the rest of the Dipterocarpaceae in the absence of fasciculate trichomes and in having sepals conspicuously aliform (reaching 10–16 cm in length) and one ovule per locule with nearly basal (sub-basal) placentation.  相似文献
