采用纸片琼脂扩散法测定了宜昌百合、岷江百合及兰州百合鳞茎甲醇提取物对革兰氏阳性细菌(金黄色葡萄球菌、枯草芽孢杆菌)和革兰氏阴性细菌(大肠杆菌、沙门氏菌)的抑制活性,并对3种百合鳞茎提取物的含量与抑菌活性进行了剂量-效应关系分析。结果表明:3种百合鳞茎提取物对4种细菌均具有抑制活性,对革兰氏阳性细菌的抑菌活性高于对革兰氏阴性细菌的抑菌活性,且宜昌百合和岷江百合两种野生百合鳞茎提取物的抑菌活性均高于普通食用的兰州百合;3种百合鳞茎提取物的含量与抑菌活性之间存在明显的剂量-效应关系,即随着提取物含量的升高,抑菌活性明显升高。  相似文献

采用管碟法研究了绒毛白蜡果实的水、50%乙醇和无水乙醇提取物对7种常见细菌菌株的抑制活性,并采用Sephadex G-15凝胶过滤层析、结合抑菌活性检测,对绒毛白蜡果实的抑菌活性物质进行了初步分离.结果表明,绒毛白蜡果实的水提物具有广谱的抗细菌作用,其对7种供试菌的最小抑菌浓度(MIC)范围为50~100 mg*mL-1;化学成分系统预试表明,绒毛白蜡果实的活性成分可能为有机酸、酚类、糖、苷类和香豆素类等.  相似文献

竹荪提取物对食源性细菌的抑菌特性研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
利用4种方法获得棘托竹荪和长裙竹荪的提取物,以5种食源性致病细菌单增李斯特菌、金黄色葡萄球菌、肠炎沙门菌、大肠埃希菌O157H7、副溶血性弧菌为供试菌,比较其MIC(最低抑菌浓度)和MBC(最低杀菌浓度)。超声波辅助破碎竹荪干粉,制取水、乙醇和石油醚为提取介质的浸提物以及竹荪挥发油,利用液体培养基连续稀释法对5种供试菌进行抑菌实验。所有提取物对供试菌都具有抑菌活性;长裙竹荪提取物的综合抑菌能力高于棘托竹荪提取物;水提物和挥发油的抑菌效果最好;2种竹荪提取物对革兰阴性菌和革兰阳性菌的抑菌作用存在互补效应。竹荪提取物对5种食源性细菌的生长有较好的抑制作用,可应用2种竹荪的提取物复配,开发天然食品防腐剂。  相似文献

以茄子黄萎菌为供试菌种,研究了54种天然植物的乙醇提取液对茄黄萎菌的抑菌活性. 结果表明, 有15种植物提取物对茄子黄萎菌菌丝生长抑制率大于50%,其中细辛、黄连、厚朴、儿茶、苦参、甘草、蛇床子、桔梗、洋葱的提取物对供试菌菌丝生长抑制作用较强,抑制效果均在65%以上,蛇床子的抑菌率达86.84%.有16种植物提取物对病菌孢子萌发的抑制作用大于70%,其中7种植物提取物对孢子萌发的抑制率大于95%以上,细辛、黄连、厚朴基本上抑制了孢子的萌发.儿茶提取物对菌丝生长的抑制效果较差,但却显著抑制了孢子萌发,抑制率达100%.蛇床子提取物虽然抑菌效果较高,但其处理的孢子萌发率为11.3%.研究发现天然植物提取物中存在着抑制黄萎菌的活性物质,这为生物防治黄萎病和进一步研究蔬菜抗病增产理论提供了新的思路与途径.  相似文献

目的:研究天山堇菜提取物抗菌活性.方法:用85%乙醇采用回流浸煮提取天山堇莱生物碱,用超声法提取黄酮化合物,以此为供试液对4种细菌和5种真菌做抑菌实验.结果:供试液对供试细菌有不同程度的抑制作用,两种提取物对肺炎克雷伯菌的最小抑菌浓度是0.175g/ml;对臭鼻克雷伯菌的最小抑菌浓度分别是0.15g/ml和0.175g/ml;对类产碱似单胞菌和奇异变型杆菌的最小抑菌浓度是0.20g/ml,而对所选真菌抑制效果却不明显.结论:天山堇菜有一定的抗菌活性,是有研究开发价值的一种中草药.  相似文献

以小麦纹枯病菌(Rhizoctonia cerealis)、番茄灰霉病菌(Alternaria solani)这两种植物病原真菌为供试菌,对采自江西省吉安市的20种植物提取物的抑制菌丝生长活性及孢子萌发进行测定.结果表明,在供试质量浓度为1 mg/mL时,黄花草木樨乙醇提取物的乙酸乙酯萃取部分抑菌效果最好,对小麦纹枯病菌和番茄灰霉病菌两种菌的抑制率均达100%;窃衣、小白酒草、羊蹄和车前草的抑制作用次之,对两种菌的抑制率均大于80%;单从对一种病原菌的抑制作用看,还有黄荆对小麦纹枯病菌率为100%,空心莲子草、窃衣、小白酒草和鬼针草对番茄灰霉病菌的抑制率为100%,但是,这20种供试植物的石油醚相和水相萃取物对两种病原真菌的抑制效果均不强.抑制病原菌孢子萌发亦得到类似结果.以上结果提示植物抑菌活性成分主要存在于乙酸乙酯萃取部分,黄花草木樨、窃衣、小白酒草等的提取物作为植物源杀菌剂值得进一步研究.  相似文献

以3种细菌(大肠杆菌Escherichia coli、金黄色葡萄球菌Bacillus subtilis、枯草芽孢杆菌Staphyloccocus aureus)为供试菌,测定了长足大竹象Cyrtotrachelus buqueti雄性附腺提取物的抑菌活性。结果表明:长足大竹象雄性附腺提取物对革兰氏阳性菌如枯草芽孢杆菌、金黄色葡萄球菌均有一定的抑菌活性。不同浓度的粗提物对枯草芽孢杆菌及金黄色葡萄球菌抑菌影响差异均具有高度统计学意义(P0.01),抑菌活性随着粗提物浓度的增加而增强。粗提物对金黄色葡萄球菌和枯草芽孢杆菌的最小抑菌浓度分别为0.2 mg·m L~(-1)、0.4 mg·m L~(-1)。不同处理温度对长足大竹象雄性附腺粗提物的抑菌作用有一定影响。  相似文献

用平板抑菌法检测了贯叶连翘总提取物对细菌的抗菌谱范围,用最低抑菌浓度(MIC)检测法、最低杀菌浓度(MBC)检测法检测了其抗菌作用的强弱。结果表明提取物对供试革兰氏阳性菌菌株均有较强的抑菌和杀菌作用,对极少数革兰氏阴性菌菌株有较弱的抑菌作用,无杀菌作用。该结果提示提取物抗菌作用可能与细菌细胞壁的结构与组成相关。  相似文献

目的:探索美国库拉索芦荟、日本木立芦荟和中华芦荟汁液的抑菌作用。方法:测定三种芦荟叶片提取物对一系列供试细菌和真菌的最低抑菌浓度(MIC)、最低杀菌浓度(MBC),对比121℃热处理30min前后提取物对金黄色葡萄球菌的抑菌作用。结果:三种芦荟提取物对供试细菌的金黄色葡萄球菌最低抑菌浓度均为0.4%;对供试菌真菌的黑曲霉都有不同程度的抑制作用,其最低抑菌浓度为0.2%。热处理后抑菌效应没有明显的下降。结论:芦荟叶提取物的抑菌作用随浓度的增加和抑菌时间的延长而增强,热处理不会影响其抑菌效果。  相似文献

Microbial drug resistance is creating severe problems worldwide. Medicinal important plants are a rich source of phytochemicals. These active compounds have antimicrobial and anticancer properties. Over a period of years, various plants based active compounds and its active principles have been analyzed for phytochemicals with antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans but this study was conducted on phytochemicals against multi-drug resistant S. mutans from dental plaque samples. Identification and isolation of S. mutans from dental plaque was done by using standard tests like Gram staining, phenol red test and blood agar hemolysis. Sensitivity/resistance pattern was done by antimicrobial sensitivity test by Kirby–Bauer disc diffusion test. Phytochemical extraction from Myristica fragrans (nutmeg) seed (MFS) and leaves (MFL), cloves (Syzigium aromaticam), Punica granatum fruit peel (PGP), Morus alba L. plant type I (MLP I) and M. alba L. plant type II leaves (MLP II) were done using solvent maceration with methanol, ethanol and water. Extracts were tested for antimicrobial properties against multidrug resistant S. mutans using antibiotic sensitivity test by agar well diffusion method and then were subjected for screening and identification of active phytochemical groups by chemical tests and high performance thin layer chromatography. The confirmatory analysis of the active compounds was done by using chromatography techniques: HPLC and GCMS. In the screening of medicinal plants clove bud, nutmeg seed and pomegranate peel showed effective antimicrobial activity against MDR S. mutans. The minimum inhibitory concentration for pomegranate peel was found to be 20 mg/ml, for clove 10 mg/ml and for Myristica seed 15 mg/ml.

The aim of the research is to explore the overall in vitro antioxidant activity, total phenol content, reduction power and antimicrobial activity of the methanol extracts of the lichens Cetraria pinastri, Cladonia digitata, Cladonia fimbriata, Fulgensia fulgens, Ochrolechia parella and Parmelia crinita. The methanol extract of the Cetraria pinastri showed a strong antioxidant activity, whereas the extracts of the species Fulgenesi fulgens, Cladonia fimbriata and Parmelia crinita showed the moderate one and the extract of the species Ochrolechia parella and Cladonia digitata the weak one. The methanol extract of the lichen Cetraria pinastri had the biggest total phenol content (32.9 mg/g of the dry extract). A certain correlation was established between the antioxidant activity and the total phenol content for the researched lichen extracts. The work also explores the antimicrobial activity of the methanol extracts of the mentioned species of lichens against six bacterial and eleven fungi species by the disc-diffusion method and by establishing the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). The methanol extracts of the lichens Cetraria pinastri and Parmelia crinita showed the strongest both antibacterial and antifungal activity against most of the tested microorganisms. These researches suggest that the lichens Cetraria prunastri can be used as new sources of the natural antioxidants and the substances with antimicrobial features.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to characterize the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the methanol extracts of: Anaptychya ciliaris, Nephroma parile, Ochrolechia tartarea and Parmelia centrifuga. The methanol extract of the P. centrifuga showed a strong antioxidant activity, in comparison to the extracts from A. ciliaris, O. tartarea and N. parile which were relatively weaker. Furthermore, the methanol extract of the lichen P. centrifuga was shown to contain the highest total phenol content (54.19 mg/g of the dry extract). Interestingly, a statistically significant positive relationship between the antioxidant activity and the total phenol content was observed. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against six bacterial and eleven fungi was established for the methanol extracts from each of species of lichens. The methanol extracts of the lichens P. centrifuga and O. tartarea showed the strongest both antibacterial and antifungal activity. Taken together, the results from this study suggest that the lichens P. centrifuga and O. tartarea may be used as a natural source of antioxidants in addition to providing certain antimicrobial features.  相似文献

The antimicrobial activity of stems methanol extract from Daphne gnidium L. collected from Sardinia (Italy) was evaluated against 6 strains of standard and clinical isolated gram (+/-) bacteria. The antimicrobial effect on two strains of fungi was also tested. The extract in toto exhibited antibacterial activity against Bacillus lentus and Escherichia coli, but was inactive against fungi. Four coumarins (daphnetin, daphnin, acetylumbelliferone, daphnoretin) and seven flavonoids (luteolin, orientin, isoorientin, apigenin-7-O-glucoside, genkwanin, 5-O-beta-D-primeverosyl genkwanine, 2,5,7,4'-tetrahydroxyisoflavanol) present in the plant extract were also investigated against the same strains of bacteria and fungi assayed for the crude extract. BackgroundMedicinal plants are important source of drugs with pharmacological activities. Therefore, there is always rising demands to discover more therapeutic agents from various species. Orthosiphon stamineus, Gynura procumbens and Ficus deltoidea are high valued medicinal plants of Malaysia contain rich source of phenolic and flavonoid compounds. The aims of the present study were to evaluate anti-oxidant, antimicrobial and anti-proliferative effects on A549, HePG2 and MCF7 cell lines of four different extracts of Orthosiphon stamineus, Gynura procumbens and Ficus deltoidea.MethodologyThe leaves of all selected plants were extracted with methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate and butanol separately with simple cold maceration. Antioxidant activity of all crude extracts were quantitatively measured against DPPH and Ferric Reducing Assay. Antimicrobial evaluation was done by Microdilution and MTT assay and antipoliferative activity of all extracts of selected plant were evaluated against A549, HePG2 and MCF7 cell lines.ResultsResults showed that methanol extract exhibited highest percentage free radical scavenging activity of almost all extracts of selected plants. Antimicrobials results showed chloroform and methanol extracts of O. stamineus extract were the two most active extracts against resistant MRSA but not S. aureus. Only methanol extract of G. procumbens showed antimicrobial activity against the tested pathogens. Chloroform and methanol extracts of F. deltoidea elicited antimicrobial activity against S. aureus but not MRSA. Antiproliferative activity against three tested cell lines results showed that ethyl acetate extract of O. stamineus showed good effect whereas methanol extract of F. deltoidea and G. procumbens exhibited good antiproliferative activity.ConclusionsThe results of the present investigation demonstrated significant variations in the antioxidant, antimicrobial and antiproliferative effects of different solvent extracts. These data could be helpful in isolation of pure potent compounds with good biological activities from the extracts of plants.  相似文献

The antimicrobial activity of a methanol extract and isolated constituents of Mitracarpus scaber, a species used in folk medicine by West African native people, was evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans strains. The mitracarpus methanol extract possesses both antibacterial and antimycotic activities (minimum inhibitory concentration-MIC 31.25 and 62.50 microg ml-, respectively). This extract was subsequently fractioned and monitored by bioassays leading to the isolation of seven compounds screened for antibacterial and antimycotic activities. Among these compounds, gallic acid and 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoic acid inhibited the growth of Staph. aureus (MIC 3.90 and 0.97 microg ml-). 4-Methoxyacetophenone and 3,4,5-trimethoxyacetophenone effectively inhibited C. albicans (MIC 1.95 microg ml-). The other compounds (kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside, rutin and psoralen) which were also isolated showed low antibacterial and antimycotic activities (125-500 microg ml-).  相似文献

Piper nigrum is a widely used plant in traditional remedies and known for its numerous biological properties. However, fraction-based antioxidant activity and their antimutagenic potential are not yet fully investigated. Different extracts of the seeds P. nigrum were obtained by sequential extraction in different solvents. All extracts were evaluated for antibacterial and antioxidant activities using different methods. The most active fraction was analyzed for antimutagenic activity using the Ames Salmonella test. The antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was found to be more prominent compared to ESβL producing Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates. The MIC values were found to be lower against MRSA than K. pneumoniae. The extract showing highest antioxidant activity (methanol extract) was further tested for antimutagenic activity both against direct and indirect-acting mutagens. A varying level of antimutagenic activity was shown by methanol extract at highest tested concentration (200 µg/plate). Alkaloids, phenols, and flavonoids were detected as major class of compounds in methanol extract. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS) analysis showed the presence of various phytocompounds. Based on molecular docking of two major active phytocompounds (piperine and copaene), they were found to interact at the minor groove of DNA. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulation revealed that both the ligands were quite stable with DNA under physiological conditions. The ability of phytocompounds to interact with DNA might be reducing the interaction of mutagens and could be one of the possible mechanism of anti-mutagenic activity of P. nigrum extract. This study highlights the antioxidant and antimutagenic potential of Piper nigrum. The role of phytocompounds present in the bioactive extract is needed to be explored further for herbal drug research.  相似文献

In vitro antimicrobial activity of 21 crude extracts obtained from seven taxa of the genus Teucrium (T. chamaedrys, T. montanum, T. arduini, T. polium, T. scordium subsp. scordium, T. scordium subsp. scordioides and T. botrys) was tested against bacterial and fungal species. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) were determined using a microdilution analysis method. Total phenolic content and flavonoid concentrations were measured spectrophotometrically. Total phenols were determined using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent and their amounts ranged from 28.49 up to 159.84 mg CA/g of extract (chlorogenic acid equivalent). The amounts of flavonoids ranged from 38.17 up to 190.45 mg RU/g of extract (rutin equivalent).The plant extracts showed greater potential of antibacterial than antifungal activity. A relationship was found between total phenolics and biological activity. The highest level of total phenols was measured in the methanol extracts, which demonstrated higher antimicrobial activity than acetone and ethyl acetate extracts. Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 appeared to be the most sensitive organism. Our results indicate that Teucrium spp extracts are rich sources of phenolic compounds and are promising candidates for further development as natural antimicrobial agents.  相似文献

Excellent antifungal sensitivity was expressed by the n-butanol fraction against Candida albicans and Candida glaberata (up to 90%) and against Trichophyton longifusus (78%) followed by the chloroform fraction against Microsporum canis (80%). In the antibacterial bioassay, the crude extract and subsequent fractions showed mild to moderate antibacterial activities. Chloroform fraction displayed highest antibacterial sensitivity against Staphylococcus aureous (88%) followed by the crude extract (59%). The total phenol content of the crude extract and fractions of the plant expressed no significant correlation with the antimicrobial activities.  相似文献
