Taxonomic review of the Indian species of Asecodes Fӧrster (Chalcidoidea: Eulophidae), with description of four new species

The Indian species of Asecodes F?rster (Eulophidae: Entedoninae) are reviewed. Six species are recognized for the genus, of which four species are described as new: A. doganlari Jamali & Zeya, sp. nov., A. massi Jamali & Zeya, sp. nov., A. sela Jamali & Zeya, sp. nov, A. zhui Jamali & Zeya, sp. nov.. One species: A. delucchii (Bou?ek) is recorded for the first time from the country.     

Taxonomic study of the genus Laena from Sichuan in China,with description of four new species (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

The genus Laena Dejean, 1821 belongs to the subfamily Lagriinae, tribe Laenini. Four new species of this genus are described and illustrated from Sichuan under the following name: Laena ceratina Wei & Ren, sp. nov., Laena edentata Zhao & Ren, sp. nov. (from Sichuan and Qinghai), Laena latitarsia Wei & Ren, sp. nov. (from Sichuan and Yunnan) and Laena sufflofemora Wei & Ren, sp. nov.. A new genus and species of the subtribe Aolina (Hemiptera: Cicadidae: Dundubiini) from Vietnam,with discussion on the taxonomic positions of Meimuna-like genera and species groups

A new cicada genus, Cantata Lee & Pham gen. nov., is erected in the subtribe Aolina Boulard, 2012, with the designations of Cantata phiaoacensis Lee & Pham sp. nov. as its type species. This new genus is morphologically similar to Meimuna Distant, 1905 but distinguished from Meimuna mainly by the absence of the extended base of uncus, the presence of the basal lobe of male pygofer, the shape of the uncal lobes, and the presence of the fore wing infuscations. Cantata phiaoacensis Lee & Pham sp. nov. is described from Phia Oac – Phia Den National Park, Cao Bang province in northern Vietnam. A distribution map and biological data for Cantata phiaoacensis are provided. A key to the genera and the species groups of Aolina is provided.     

Taxonomy of Gundlachia (Compositae: Astereae)

Gundlachia, a genus of shrubs occurring in the Caribbean islands, is treated as comprising two species, one of which has six varieties. Five new combinations are made: Gundlachia corymbosa var. apiculata (Britton & S. F. Blake) M. A. Lane, G. corymbosa var. compacta (Urb. & Ekman) M. A. Lane, G. corymbosa var. cubana (Britton & S. F. Blake) M. A. Lane, G. corymbosa var. foliosa (Britton & S. F. Blake) M. A. Lane, and G. corymbosa var. ocoana (Urb. & Ekman) M. A. Lane. Gundlachia is probably most closely related to Gymnosperma.

Four new species from the Agrilus wittemani species-group (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Agrilini) from Silent Valley National Park,Southern Western Ghats,Kerala, India

The Agrilus wittemani species-group comprising six species from South and Southeast Asia; two of these are endemic to south India. Revision of the Barsine punicea Moore, 1878 species-group,with descriptions of two new species and two new subspecies (Lepidoptera,Erebidae, Arctiinae)

The Barsine puniceaMoore, 1878 species-group is revised. Two new species, Barsine bachma Volynkin & ?erný, sp. nov. (Central Vietnam and Hainan, China) and Barsine sirikitae Volynkin & ?erný, sp. nov. (North Thailand), and two new subspecies, Barsine punicea kachina Volynkin & ?erný, ssp. nov. (North Myanmar) and Barsine bachma bolovena Volynkin & ?erný, ssp. nov. (South Laos) are described. Barsine punicea melanandra ?erný, 2009 is upgraded to the species level: Barsine melanandra ?erný, 2009, stat. nov.Miltochrista rothschildiDraudt, 1914 is synonymized with Barsine punicea and downgraded to the subspecies status: Barsine punicea rothschildi (Draudt, 1914), syn. & stat. nov. Two new species of the genus Arboridia Zachvatkin from karst area of southwestern China (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae)

Two new species: A. (Arboridia) xiaotungensis sp. nov. and A. (Arboridia) luojiashangensis sp. nov. from Guizhou Province, China are described and illustrated. Before it is too late: description of a new genus and species of butterfly from a highly threatened Brazilian biome

A new genus, Nhambikuara Freitas, Barbosa & Zacca gen. nov., and species, Nhambikuara cerradensis Freitas, Barbosa & Zacca sp. nov., of the highly diverse Neotropical butterfly subtribe Euptychiina are described. Nhambikuara cerradensissp. nov. is the type species for the genus, and Euptychia mima Butler, 1867 is also transferred to the new genus, as Nhambikuara mima (Butler, 1867) comb. nov., from the genus Zischkaia Forster, 1964. Jiriella brunnea sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Dermestidae: Megatominae) from Thailand and Burma — the second known species of the genus Jiriella

Jiriella brunnea Háva & Kadej, sp. nov. from Thailand and Burma is described. The habitus, antenna, genitalia are illustrated and compared with related species Jiriella thailandica (Háva, 2012).     

New snakeflies of the genus Inocellia Schneider, 1843 (Raphidioptera: Inocelliidae) from the Hengduan Mountains,China

Three species of the snakefly genus Inocellia Schneider, 1843 (Raphidioptera: Inocelliidae) are reported from the Hengduan Mountains in southwestern China. Among them, Inocellia yulongensis sp. nov. is described as new to science. Inocellia cheni Liu, H. Aspöck, Yang & U. Aspöck, 2010 is first recorded from Sichuan Province based on a newly collected male from a locality over 4200 m a.s.l. Inocellia obtusangularis Liu, H. Aspöck, Yang & U. Aspöck, 2010 is first recorded from Yunnan Province. The rich species diversity of snakeflies and its biogeographic significance from the Hengduan Mountains are discussed.     

Cotesia invirae,sp. nov., from South Brazil: a new gregarious microgastrine wasp (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) reared from Opsiphanes invirae (Nymphalidae) feeding on palms

A new species of microgastrine wasp, Cotesia invirae Salgado-Neto & Whitfield, sp. nov., is described from southern Brazil in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul. This species is a koinobiont gregarious larval endoparasitoid and spins a common mass of cocoons underneath the host caterpillars of Opsiphanes invirae (Huebner, 1818) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae), feeding on the palm trees Syagrus romanzoffianum (Cham.) Becc.; Livistona chinensis (N.J. Jacquim) R. Brown; Roystonea regia (HBK) O.F. Cook; Archontophoenix cunninghamiana Wendland & Drude (Palmaceae). Morphological, molecular, biological, ecological and geographical data are integrated to describe the new species.     

Contribution to the knowledge of Acaenitinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) from Vietnam,with descriptions of two new species

Two new species Ishigakia curvicaudicula Pham & Long sp. nov., and Yezoceryx comaensis Pham sp. nov. are described and illustrated. An updated key to 15 known species of Ishigakia of the world fauna is also provided. The new species Yezoceryx comaensis Pham sp. nov. is inserted in a key to the Vietnamese species provided by Pham et al. (2017). Description of four new mayfly species of Indialis Peters & Edmunds, 1970 (Ephemeroptera: Leptophlebiidae) from Peninsular India

Four new species of the genus Indialis Peters & Edmunds (1970) viz., Indialis thirparapensis sp. nov. Indialis payaswini sp. nov. Indialis kannani sp. nov. and Indialis kodagi sp. nov. are described from southern Western Ghats of India, based on larval and adult characters. Current state of knowledge of the Korean Cynipini: subspecies description,new combinations and checklist (Hymenoptera,Cynipidae)

Prior to this study, only 8 species of oak gall-forming wasps were known from Korea. After material examination and an exhaustive bibliographic revision, a total of 17 oak gall wasps species have been reported. The following species correspond to new records: Andricus hakonensis (Ahmead); A. pseudocurvator Tang & Melika; A. songshui Tang & Melika; Cerroneuroterus folimargo (Monzen); C. monzeni (Dettmer); C. vonkuenburgi (Dettmer); Neuroterus hakonensis Ashmead, Trichagalma acutissimae (Monzen), T. formosana Melika & Tang. It was impossible to obtain adult specimens for all the species, and and the following species are recorded only based on galls: Andricus kashiwaphilus Abe; A. mukaigawae (Mukaigawa); A. pseudoflos (Monzen); A. targionii Kieffer; Cerroneuroterus folimargo (Monzen); C. monzeni (Dettmer); Neuroterus hakonensis Ashmead; Trichagalma acutissimae (Monzen). The species Dryocosmus kunugiphagus Ide & Abe, 2015 is transferred to the genus Plagiotrochus: Plagiotrochus kunugiphagus (Ide & Abe, 2015) n. comb. Additionally a new subspecies of Trichagalma formosana is described to include the material from Korea and Mainland China, closely related but morphologically different to the Taiwan populations. For each species live cycle, morphology of galls, hosts, phenology, and distribution are commented. In some of them taxonomic or morphological comments are mentioned and a key of agamic Trichagalma with dark smoky pigmented spots in the forewing is added. All galls are illustrated. An up-to-date checklist of the Korean Cynipini is provided. The previously reported species from Korea (Andricus noliquercicola Shinji, 1938; Aphelonyx crispulae Mukaigawae, 1920; Neuroterus narae Shinji, 1941 and Neuroterus nawai Ashmead, 1904) are here excluded from the Korean species list.     

The first record of genus Neocsikia Ôhira & Becker (Coleoptera,Elateridae, Dimini) in China,with the description of a new species

The click-beetle genus Neocsikia Ôhira & Becker, 1972 is newly recorded from Xizang, China upon the discoveries of Neocsikia nepalensis Ôhira & Becker, 1972 and N. xuhaoi Qiu, sp. nov. Neocsikia nepalensis is redescribed based on the type material from Nepal and material collected in Nyalam County, Xizang, China. Neocsikia xuhaoi Qiu, sp. nov. is described based on the material collected in Mêdog County, Xizang, China. Both species are illustrated and their principal diagnostic features are provided. Contribution to the knowledge of the genus Ainu (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Stenochiinae)

The genus ErulipusFairmaire, 1903 (previously in the subfamily Tenebrioninae, tribe Helopini), after the study of the type species (Erulipus fruhstorferiFairmaire, 1903), is transferred to the genus AinuLewis, 1894 (subfamily Stenochiinae, the tribe Cnodalonini) as a subgenus. Consequently, two new combinations are established: Ainu (Erulipus) fruhstorferi (Fairmaire, 1903), comb. nov. and Ainu (s. str.) multicolor (Pic, 1927), comb. nov. The syntypes of Erulipus fruhstorferi and Erulipus multicolorPic, 1927 are studied and the new synonym is proposed: Erulipus fruhstorferi?=?Ainu grandisRen and Yuan, 2005, syn. nov. Two new species are described from China: Ainu linwenxini Nabozhenko & Ren, sp. nov. (Taiwan) and Ainu basifemoratum Nabozhenko & Ren, sp. nov. (Yunnan). Both the new species are closely related to A. sichuanumRen and Yuan, 2015.
