The raw and boiled odors of celery leaves and stalks were investigated. Among 12 compounds identified as potent odorants, 3-n-butylphthalide 1, sedanenolide 2, and trans- and cis-sedanolides 3, 4 were assessed to be most contributive to the overall odor of celery. These three phthalides, (3E,5Z)-1,3,5-undecatriene, myrcene, and (E)-2-nonenal were common to both raw and boiled materials. Two compounds, ((Z)-3-hexenal and (Z)-3-hexenol), were dominant in raw materials and four compounds, (2-methylbutanoic acid, sotolon, beta-damascenone, and beta-ionone), were dominant in boiled materials. Sensory evaluations were performed on natural celery odor and a series of reconstructed model aromas by assigning each intensity ratings for a set of seven odor qualities which aptly describe the odors of raw and boiled celery. According to the evaluation results, six common components contributed to the moderate odor of raw celery, two components dominant in raw materials enhanced the raw celery character, and four components dominant in boiled materials reduced the raw celery character and enhanced the boiled celery character. It was clarified that boiling-induced changes in celery odor were not affected by the amounts of phthalides, but by thermally generated compounds such as sotolon, beta-damascenone, and beta-ionone, which reduce the "green spicy" note.  相似文献

The evidence for character displacement as a widespread response to competition is now building. This progress is largely the result of the establishment of rigorous criteria for demonstrating character displacement in the animal literature. There are, however, relatively few well-supported examples of character displacement in plants. This review explores the potential for character displacement in plants by addressing the following questions: (1) Why aren''t examples of character displacement in plants more common? (2) What are the requirements for character displacement to occur and how do plant populations meet those requirements? (3) What are the criteria for testing the pattern and process of character displacement and what methods can and have been used to address these criteria in the plant literature? (4) What are some additional approaches for studying character displacement in plants? While more research is needed, the few plant systems in which character displacement hypotheses have been rigorously tested suggest that character displacement may play a role in shaping plant communities. Plants are especially amenable to character displacement studies because of the experimental ease with which they can be used in common gardens, selection analyses, and breeding designs. A deeper investigation of character displacement in plants is critical for a more complete understanding of the ecological and evolutionary processes that permit the coexistence of plant species.  相似文献

为西北荒漠灌区高产、优质紫花苜蓿新品种的选育提供基础材料。以甘农3号、甘农5号、游客为亲本进行多元杂交,选择了16个优良株系为研究材料,通过大田比较试验,对其干草产量和粗蛋白质(CP)、中性洗涤纤维(NDF)和酸性洗涤纤维(ADF)3个饲用品质性状进行评价分析。结果表明,16个苜蓿株系的干草为西北荒漠灌区高产、优质紫花苜蓿新品种的选育提供基础材料。以甘农3号、甘农5号、游客为亲本进行多元杂交,选择了16个优良株系为研究材料,通过大田比较试验,对其干草产量和粗蛋白质(CP)、中性洗涤纤维(NDF)和酸性洗涤纤维(ADF)3个饲用品质性状进行评价分析。结果表明,16个苜蓿株系的干草产量和营养品质性状均存在一定变异,干草产量性状变异最大,为23.80%;酸性洗涤纤维性状变异最小,为6.00%。单个性状比较发现,白花1#为高产株系,干草产量为22.72t/hm2;速生4 #为高蛋白株系,CP含量为22.74%;白花3#为低纤维株系,NDF和ADF含量分别为37.85%和31.17%。从单个性状考虑,白花1#可能为高产材料,速生4#可能为高蛋白材料,白花3#可能为低纤维材料,这三个株系的优良特性是否稳定遗传,尚需参与下一步的继代检测。合并4个指标的聚类分析结果并运用灰色关联度理论,综合产量和各营养品质性状,初步筛选出速生4 #和白花3#为高产高蛋白及低纤维材料,速生12 #为高产高蛋白材料,速生1 #和白花1#为高产中蛋白材料,速生15 #为高产低纤维材料,白花2#为中产高蛋白材料,以上材料通过进一步的继代筛选后可作为优良苜蓿育种材料。  相似文献

酶是高效的生物催化剂,在生物技术领域有广泛的应用。然而,不可再生催化的高成本和酶的有效成分分离回收,是实现大规模工业化应用需要解决的关键问题。磁性纳米粒子(magnetic nanoparticles,MNPs)具有优异的磁回收性质。通过设计和制备功能化MNPs作为固定化酶的多功能载体,是解决这一问题的有效途径之一,可为酶的工业化大规模应用提供条件。近年来,功能化磁性纳米粒子在酶的固定化领域基于载体性质、固定化方法和应用有广泛研究。文中重点介绍了近年来各种功能化磁性纳米载体,特别是Fe3O4纳米粒子,在固定化酶中的应用。根据功能化试剂的差异分类,实例讨论了不同功能化修饰的磁性纳米载体对酶的固定化,包括硅烷修饰的磁性纳米载体、有机聚合物修饰的磁性纳米载体、介孔材料修饰的磁性纳米载体以及金属-有机骨架材料(metal-organic framework,MOF)修饰的磁性纳米载体。同时,结合可持续工业催化的发展要求,对磁性复合载体固定化酶的发展前景进行了展望。  相似文献

The objective of this study is to test the hypothesis that time plasticity (parameterd from 3-D modeling) is influenced by tableting speed. Tablets were produced at different maximum relative densities (ϱrel,max) on an instrumented eccentric tableting machine and on a linear rotary tableting machine replicator. Some 3-D data plots were prepared using pressure, normalized time, and porosity according to Heckel. After fitting of a twisted plane, the resulting parameters were analyzed in a 3-D parameter plot. The materials used were dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD), spray-dried lactose, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), κ-carrageenan (CAR), and theophylline monohydrate (TheoM). The results show that tableting speed especially influences the parameterd (time plasticity) of the 3-D model for plastically and viscoelastically deforming materials such as MCC, HPMC, CAR, and TheoM. For more plastically deforming materials such as MCC, HPMC, and TheoM, a subtle influence on ω is also visible. The stages of higher densification are affected more than the stages of lower densification. Brittle materials such as DCPD exhibit no influence of tableting speed. The influence of speed on spray-dried lactose is minor. The results are valid for data obtained from an eccentric tableting machine and also for data from a linear rotary tableting machine replicator. Thus, the empirically derived parameter time plasticityd really represents the influence of time.  相似文献

High (H) and low (L) antibody responder lines of mice separated by selective breeding present a maximal interline difference in antibody (Ab) response to Ag of different specificities (general genetic regulation). The analysis of SRBC agglutinin response in H line, L line, F1 hybrids, F2, and backcross segregants demonstrates that Ab responsiveness is a polygenic trait regulated by the additive interaction of 5 to 7 independent loci, with an incomplete dominance (44% +/- 7%) of the high response character, and a 30% +/- 10% impact of the environmental factors. The life span of H, L, F1, F2, and backcross populations is correlated positively with 2-ME-resistant agglutinin response (r = 0.97, p less than 0.001) and negatively with 2-ME-sensitive agglutinin response (r = 0.95, p = 0.01) (interpopulation correlation). Similar correlations are also observed in individuals of the various populations, especially in F1 x L backcross, in which the largest phenotypic variance is found. The positive correlation between Ab responsiveness and life span was confirmed by ELISA titration for distinct IgG isotypes (intrapopulation correlation). Malignant lymphomas and chronic nephritis were the two most common diseases observed. The age-adjusted incidence of such diseases, which is largely affected by environmental factors, accounts for the longer life span of H, as compared with L, mouse populations. The longevity of the 30% or less survivors, chiefly determined by the rate of physiologic aging, is a polygenic character regulated by the cumulative interaction of 3 to 7 independent loci, with a complete dominance of the long life trait and an impact of the environmental factors of about 60%. Thus we have grounds for regarding general Ab responsiveness and life span as polygenic traits regulated by a small number of identical or closely linked gene loci, and immune responsiveness as a defense mechanism against neoplastic and inflammatory diseases.  相似文献

报道了湖北产八角莲属3种植物八角莲,小八角莲和乌云伞的根,根茎,茎和叶的显微构造特点。茎部构造不同于一般双子叶植物的茎,近皮层有8-22个大小不等外韧维管束排列成环状,而髓内又有3-6个内轮维管束。整个茎轮廊类似于单子叶植物的散生维管柱(中柱)。根,根茎及叶的构造类似于一般双子叶植物。本研究为开发和利用湖北产八角莲属药用植物资源提供鉴别依据。  相似文献

A new procedure for defining taxa upon a single character state is developed. It is centred on the designation of two specimens, belonging to two distinct species, exhibiting the same given character state, as type material, and referred to as ‘cladotypes’. A taxon name/definition designates a monophyletic group until one of the following assumptions is falsified: (1) the character state typified by cladotypes is homologous in individuals that are designated as cladotypes, and (2) cohesion mechanisms isolated individuals exhibiting the type‐character‐state from those that do not. A taxon defined by a character state that is found to be a combination of several character states is to be redefined upon a character state shared by its cladotypes. If several character states are available, the character state that makes the taxon the least inclusive taxon including cladotypic species (i.e., species to which belong cladotypes) is to be preferred. Taxon names designate obsolete phylogenetic hypotheses if the first assumption is falsified (such names are to be kept for this purpose, i.e., they are not to be recycled in another definition). Rules governing adaptation of previously erected names are proposed. Main cases of taxa synonymy involve definitions based on different pairs of cladotypes but referring to the same type‐character‐state; and definitions based on the same character‐state initially hypothesised as acquired by convergence in cladotypic species pairs, but later demonstrated as originating from a unique ancestor. Taxa could be synonyms if a permanent splitting event did not segregate individuals exhibiting a new character state, qualified as type‐character‐state, from individuals already assigned to a previously erected taxon. This procedure accommodates potentially any species concept, but is not tied to any; it is an extension of the composite species concept. Species are treated in a different way than other taxa: they are defined as sets of individuals belonging to the same evolving (segments of) metapopulation lineages as a holotype specimen, and do not need a defining character state.  相似文献

Here, we study the dielectric and optical properties of two-dimensional (2D) WX2 monolayers, where X is Cl, O, S, Se, and Te. First principle electronic band structure calculations reveal that all materials are direct band gap semiconductors except WO2 and WCl2, which are found to be indirect band gap semiconducting 2D materials. The dielectric response of these materials is also systematically investigated. The obtained results suggest that these materials are suitable as dielectric materials to suppress unwanted signal noise. The optical properties of these 2D materials, such as absorption, reflection and extinction coefficients, refractive index, and optical conductivity, are also calculated from the dielectric function. It is found that these materials exhibit excellent optical response. The present electronic, dielectric, and optical findings indicate that WX2 monolayers have an opportunity in electronic, optical, and optoelectronic device applications.  相似文献

This study characterized the magnetic materials found within Daphnia resting eggs by measuring static magnetization with a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer, after forming two types of conditions, each of which consists of zero-field cooling (ZFC) and field cooling (FC). Magnetic ions, such as Fe(3+), contained in Daphnia resting eggs existed as (1) paramagnetic and superparamagnetic particles, demonstrated by a magnetization and temperature dependence of the magnetic moments under an applied magnetic field after ZFC and FC, and (2) ferromagnetic particles with definite magnetic moments, the content of which was estimated to be very low, demonstrated by the Moskowitz test. Conventionally, biomagnets have been directly detected by transmission electron microscopes (TEM). As demonstrated in this study, it is possible to nondestructively detect small biomagnets by magnetization measurement, especially after two types of ZFC and FC. This nondestructive method can be applied in detecting biomagnets in complex biological organisms.  相似文献

Oily water treatment has attracted the attention of many researchers.The development of effective and cheap oil/water separation materials is urgent for treating this problem.Herein,inspired by superhydrophobic typical plant leaves such as lotus,red rose and marigold,superhydrophobic and superoleophilic copper mesh was fabricated by etching and then surface modification with 1-dodecanethiol (HS(CH2)11CH3).A rough silver layer is formed on the mesh surface after immersion.The obtained mesh surface exhibits superhydrophobicity and superoleophilicity and the static water contact angle was 153° ± 3°.In addition,the as-prepared copper mesh shows self-cleaning character with water and chemical stability.The as-prepared copper foam can easily remove the organic solvents either on water or underwater.We demonstrate that by using the as-prepared mesh,oils can be absorbed and separated,and that high separation efficiencies of larger than 92% are retained for various oils.Thus,such superhydrophobic and superoleophilic copper mesh is a very promising material for the application of oil spill cleanup and industrial oily wastewater treatment.  相似文献

An optimal photon absorption in thin film photovoltaic technologies can only be reached by effectively trapping the light in the absorber layer provided a considerable portion of the photons is rejected or scattered out of such layer. Here, a new optical cavity is proposed that can be made to have a resonant character at two different nonharmonic frequencies when adjusting the materials or geometry configurations of the partially transmitting cavity layers. Specific configurations are found where a reminiscence of such two fundamental resonances coexists leading to a broadband light trapping. When a PTB7‐Th:PC71BM organic cell is integrated within such cavity, a power conversion efficiency of 11.1% is measured. This study also demonstrates that when materials alternative to organics are used in the photoactive cell layer, a similar cavity can be implemented to also obtain the largest light absorption possible. Indeed, when it is applied to perovskite cells, an external quantum efficiency is predicted that closely matches its corresponding internal one for a broad wavelength range.  相似文献

The strengths and weaknesses of phylogenetic analysis using computers are reviewed from the viewpoint of understanding crustacean evolution. Computerized methods require the explicit presentation of characters and character state homologies. New techniques allow investigators to design evolutionary models into a character data matrix, or to use evolutionary models that make minimal a priori assumptions. The computer analysis relieves the investigator from the highly repetitious testing of trees, allows the concentration on the character state data, and provides objective methods for comparing trees, primarily their length. These are regarded as the strengths of computerized methods. The weaknesses of these methods include the relatively inscrutable nature of the character data matrix compared with the overall ‘gestalt’ of resulting trees, the difficulties of defining discrete homologies within the Crustacea, especially for counts of segmentation, the lack of clear intermediate character states in some multistate segmental characters, and the inability to define evolutionary polarity. These difficulties may be overcome by analysing the data using the minimal assumption models of character evolution, and by a recognition that the trees are a result of the input data, and therefore the data should be criticized, rather than the trees themselves. A ‘consensus’ character data set, including most extant major groups of the Crustacea as well as several key fossils, was assembled and revised by the participants in the workshop. An artificial taxon, ‘ur-crustacean characters’, was introduced to root the tree. Three observations may be made from parsimony analyses using several weighting and tree rooting methods. (1) The currently accepted large scale phylogeny and classification of the Crustacea is not corroborated. (2) The number of supposed plesiomorphic traits possessed by a taxon is not a good index for early derivation in crustacean evolution. (3) The taxon Maxillopoda is not supported by the arrangement of any of the trees.  相似文献

Microsatellites, such as (TG)n found at random throughout the genome, or as 3' extensions of Alu sequences are being increasingly used as genetic markers because of their pluriallelic character. The search for polymorphic microsatellites is time consuming, however, as it is necessary to sequence clones containing the microsatellites sequences in order to design specific PCR primers before testing for polymorphism, which does not always occur. We propose here a new approach to generate polymorphic markers, based on the amplification of microsatellites at the 3' end of Alu sequences, without the need for cloning or sequencing steps.  相似文献

Partially occupied orbitals play a pivotal role in enhancing the performance of electrocatalyst by facilitating electron acceptance and donation, thus enabling the activation of molecular bonds. According to this principle, the basal plane of most 2D semiconductors is inert for electrocatalysis because of the fully occupied orbitals at the surface. Here, taking monolayer CrX (X = P, As, Sb) and Cr2PY (Y = As, Sb) as examples and through first-principles calculations, it is revealed that even with fully occupied surface orbitals, the basal planes exhibit remarkable catalytic activity for the nitrogen oxide reduction reaction (NORR). This leads to the concept of the pseudo-inert electrocatalyst. The underlying physics behind such pseudo-inert character can be attributed to the reversal-activation mechanism: contrary to conventional expectations, the adsorbed NO molecule reversely triggers the activity of the inert basal plane first, and then the basal plane activates NO molecules, forming the intriguing “Reversal Activation-Transfer-Donation-Backdonation” process. This study further predicts that such pseudo-inert character can demonstrate many distinctive properties, for example, it can introduce a novel type of surface catalysis, one that selectively targets radicals possessing an inherent dipole moment such as NO. The explored phenomena and insights greatly enrich the realms of electrocatalysis and 2D materials.  相似文献

黄萎病是目前茄子生产中的主要病害之一,广泛收集、鉴定、筛选抗性资源,尤其是从野生近缘种中发掘抗性基因并培育抗病品种,是解决茄子黄萎病危害的优选途径。云南省拥有丰富的野生茄子资源但尚未有效利用。本研究针对云南省茄子主产区收集到的3种黄萎病菌株,通过形态学鉴定和真菌18S r DNA/ITS鉴定,均属于大丽轮枝菌,并通过致病力鉴定,筛选出一株强致病力菌株(QZ-S);应用菌株QZ-S,通过苗期人工接种的方法对45份云南野生茄子资源开展黄萎病抗性鉴定,最终筛选出2份高抗材料(蒜芥茄和喀西茄)、2份抗病材料(水茄和多裂水茄)、6份中抗材料(1份刺天茄和5份红茄);此外,还筛选到了1份黄萎病高感材料239-3-2。本研究筛选出的材料可应用于茄子黄萎病抗病育种,为茄子及其他作物黄萎病抗病育种提供抗源。  相似文献

Subtilisin-A was colyophilized with various types of support materials, such as Amberlite IRC-50, Celite545, chitosan, DEAE-cellulose, DOWEX-1, zeolite, glass bead, and polystyrene. The colyophilized enzyme was used for the optical resolution of racemic 1-phenylethylamine with 2,2,2-trifluoroethylbutyrate in 3-methyl-3-pentanol. The enzyme activity in organic media changed dramatically according to the hydration state of the support materials before lyophilization. This effect was especially marked with supports of high water capacity (aquaphilicity), such as chitosan and DEAE-cellulose. By hydrating these supports of high aquaphilicity prior to lyophilization, subtilisin-A activity in organic media increased ca. 4-8 times, depending upon the supports used. This result suggests that the hydration state of aquaphilic support materials for colyophilization is critical to determining enzyme activity in organic solvents. MOTIVATION: Estimation of misclassification error has received increasing attention in clinical diagnosis and bioinformatics studies, especially in small sample studies with microarray data. Current error estimation methods are not satisfactory because they either have large variability (such as leave-one-out cross-validation) or large bias (such as resubstitution and leave-one-out bootstrap). While small sample size remains one of the key features of costly clinical investigations or of microarray studies that have limited resources in funding, time and tissue materials, accurate and easy-to-implement error estimation methods for small samples are desirable and will be beneficial. RESULTS: A bootstrap cross-validation method is studied. It achieves accurate error estimation through a simple procedure with bootstrap resampling and only costs computer CPU time. Simulation studies and applications to microarray data demonstrate that it performs consistently better than its competitors. This method possesses several attractive properties: (1) it is implemented through a simple procedure; (2) it performs well for small samples with sample size, as small as 16; (3) it is not restricted to any particular classification rules and thus applies to many parametric or non-parametric methods.  相似文献
