Objective:This paper presents the analyses of the fatigue effect on the cross-talk in mechanomyography (MMG) signals of extensor and flexor forearm muscles during pre- and post-fatigue maximum voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC).Methods:Twenty male participants performed repetitive submaximal (60% MVIC) grip muscle contractions to induce muscle fatigue and the results were analyzed during the pre- and post-fatigue MVIC. MMG signals were recorded on the extensor digitorum (ED), extensor carpi radialis longus (ECRL), flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) and flexor carpi radialis (FCR) muscles. The cross-correlation coefficient was used to quantify the cross-talk values in forearm muscle pairs (MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MP5 and MP6). In addition, the MMG RMS and MMG MPF were calculated to determine force production and muscle fatigue level, respectively.Results:The fatigue effect significantly increased the cross-talk values in forearm muscle pairs except for MP2 and MP6. While the MMG RMS and MMG MPF significantly decreased (p<0.05) based on the examination of the mean differences from pre- and post-fatigue MVIC.Conclusion:The presented results can be used as a reference for further investigation of cross-talk on the fatigue assessment of extensor and flexor muscles’ mechanic. 相似文献

The effects of fatigue upon the torque-velocity (T-omega) relationship in cycling were studied in 11 subjects. Fatigue was induced by short exhausting exercise, on a cycle ergometer, consisting of 4 all-out sprints without recovery. The linear (T-omega) relationship was determined during each all-out sprint, before, during and after the exhausting exercise. The kinetics of the T-omega relationship had permitted the study of the recovery of optimal torque, optimal velocity and their corresponding maximal power outputs (Pmax), 30 s or 1 min after the short exhausting exercise. Fatigue induced a parallel shift to the left of the T-omega relationship which was partly reversed by a parallel shift to the right during recovery. After 30 s recovery optimal velocity, optimal torque and Pmax were slightly lower than the corresponding values before the exhausting exercise; after 1-min optimal velocity and optimal torque had recovered 99% and 97% of their initial values. These mechanical data suggested that the causes of exhaustion were processes that allowed fast recovery of both optimal velocity and optimal torque. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the time after spinal cord injury (less than and greater than 10 months) on the mechanical and electrophysiological characteristics of muscle fatigue of the paralyzed electrically stimulated quadriceps muscle. Morphologically and histochemically, a relationship was observed between muscle fatigue and the delay from injury, revealing a critical period of enzymatic turning and a maximum peak of atrophy around the 10th month after the injury, followed by a long-term stabilization. Knee-torque output and M-wave variables (amplitude, latency, duration, and root mean square, RMS) of two muscular heads of the quadriceps were recorded in 19 paraplegic patients during a 120-s isometric contraction. The fatiguing muscle contraction was elicited by supramaximal continuous 20-Hz electrical stimulation. Compared to the chronic group, the acutely paralyzed group showed a greater resistance to fatigue (amount and rate of force decline, P < or = 0.01), smaller alterations of the M-wave amplitude and RMS, and a limited decrease of the muscle fiber conduction velocity (P < 0.05). Mechanical and electrophysiological changes during fatigue provided a clear functional support of the transformation of skeletal muscle under the lesion and of the existence of a critical period of muscular turn. In conclusion, when considering the artificial restoration of motor function, the evolution of the endurance and force-generating capabilities of the muscle actuator must be taken into account, particularly when tasks require important safety conditions (e.g., standing and walking). 相似文献

There is a lack of data on fatigue changes within 24 h among patients with multiple sclerosis. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of time of day on central and peripheral fatigue during a continuous 2-min maximal voluntary contraction of the quadriceps muscle in women and men with multiple sclerosis (MS). We studied age-matched MS patients (range, 40–50 years). The inclusion criteria for patients were: a Kurtzke Expanded Disability Status score and a Fatigue Severity Scale score. We found a significant gender difference in central activation ratio (CAR) in the evening. At the end of the 2-min maximal voluntary contraction (MVC), the voluntary torque decreased by about 65% in men and women with MS in both the morning and evening. We also observed that, in women, CAR decreased markedly during the first 30 s in the evening test. The most interesting finding of our study is that central fatigue increased, whereas peripheral fatigue decreased markedly in the evening only in women. It remains unclear why women’s central fatigue is greater in the evening than in the morning. 相似文献

Background: The innervation zone (IZ) corresponds to the location of the neuromuscular junctions. Its location can be determined by using arranged surface linear electrode arrays. Typically, voluntary muscle contractions (VC) are used in this method. However, it also may be necessary to locate the IZ under clinical conditions such as spasticity, in which this type of contraction is difficult to perform. Therefore, contractions imposed by electrostimulation (ES) can be an alternative. There is little background comparing the locations of IZ obtained by two different types of contractions. Objective: Evaluate the concordance between using voluntary and imposed contractions from electrostimulation in order to determine the location of the innervation zone of the tibialis anterior muscle in healthy volunteers. Methods: The tibialis anterior (TA) muscle of sixteen volunteers (men: 8; women: 8; age: 22.1 ± 1.4 years, weight: 61.6 ± 7.5 kg, height: 167.1 ± 7.5 cm) were evaluated using a linear electrode array. The IZ of the TA muscle was located using two types of muscle contractions, voluntary (10% MVC) and imposed contractions by ES. The concordance between both conditions was evaluated using the Bland–Altman method and the concordance correlation coefficient (CCC). The analyses were applied to the absolute and relative positions to the length of an anatomical landmark frame. Results: CCC for absolute position was 0.98 (p < 0.0001, 95% CI [0.98–1.00], and CCC for relative positions also was 0.98 (p < 0.0001, 95% CI [0.97–1.00]). The Bland–Altman analysis for absolute data showed an average difference of −0.63 mm (SD: 4.1). Whereas, for adjusted data, the average difference was −0.20% (SD: 1.2). The power of the results, based on absolute data, was 98%, whereas for relative data, 82%. Conclusion: In healthy volunteers, there was a substantially concordance between the location of the IZ of the TA muscle derived from using contractions imposed by ES and the location derived from using VC. 相似文献

目的:观察股神经阻滞自控镇痛用于全膝置换(total knee arthoplasty,TKA)术后镇痛和功能恢复的疗效。方法:选择2017年8月~2019年6月院骨科收治的膝关节骨性关节炎患者122例,根据随机数字表法将其分为观察组与对照组,每组61例患者。所有患者均采用静吸复合全身麻醉,观察组给予股神经阻滞自控镇痛,对照组给予静脉自控镇痛,记录和比较两组患者术后镇痛效果与功能恢复情况。结果:观察组术后1 d、3 d与7 d的疼痛视觉模拟评分法(Visual Analogue Scale/Score,VAS)评分、血清白细胞介素(Interleukin,IL)-6和C-反应蛋白(C-reactive protein,CRP)含量都显著低于对照组(P0.05),患肢膝关节活动度明显高于对照组(P0.05),术后7 d的恶心、头晕、嗜睡、心动过缓等并发症发生率(4.9%)显著低于对照组(21.3%,P0.05),术后1 d、1个月与3个月的患肢膝关节活动度显著高于对照组(P0.05)。结论:股神经阻滞自控镇痛用于TKA可提高术后镇痛效果,促进膝关节功能恢复,减少术后并发症的发生,可能与其有效抑制IL-6和CRP的释放有关。 相似文献

This study investigated the acute effect of active recovery (AR) following fatigue induced by 80 three-second maximal voluntary isometric plantar flexion contractions (MVICs) in 12 young men. AR consisted of a total of 180 voluntary isometric ramp contractions of the plantar flexors (0.75-s contraction/relaxation) targeting 10% of MVIC torque. MVIC torque, voluntary activation and root mean square values of electromyographic signals for the triceps surae normalized by each peak-to-peak amplitude of compound motor action potential were determined before, and immediately, 10, 20 and 30 min after the fatiguing task. Evoked torques were similarly assessed except for immediately after it. The AR and passive recovery were randomly performed on two days by each participant between 5 min and 10 min after the fatiguing task. For all the parameters other than MVIC torque, there was no significant difference between the conditions at any time point. MVIC torque decreased significantly immediately after the fatiguing task regardless of condition (P < 0.05), and the corresponding decrease in MVIC torque recovered 30 min after the fatiguing task only in AR (P < 0.05). These results suggest an acute positive effect of AR on recovery of neuromuscular function and/or contractile properties after fatigue. 相似文献

The muscle compound action potential (M wave) recorded under monopolar configuration reflects both the propagation of the action potentials along the muscle fibres and their extinction at the tendon. M waves recorded under a bipolar configuration contain less cross talk and noise than monopolar M waves, but they do not contain the entire informative content of the propagating potential. The objective of this study was to compare the effect of changes in muscle fibre conduction velocity (MFCV) on monopolar and bipolar M waves and how this effect depends on the distance between the recording electrodes and tendon. The study was based on a simulation approach and on an experimental investigation of the characteristics of surface M waves evoked in the vastus lateralis during 4-s step-wise isometric contractions in knee extension at 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, and 90% MVC. The peak-to-peak duration (Durpp) and median frequency (Fmedian) of the M waves were calculated. For monopolar M waves, changes in Durpp and Fmedian produced by MFCV depended on the distance from the electrode to the tendon, whereas, for bipolar M waves, changes in Durpp and Fmedian were largely independent of the electrode-to-tendon distance. When the distance between the detection point and tendon lay between approximately 15 and 40 mm, changes in Durpp of bipolar M waves were more pronounced than those of distal monopolar M waves but less marked than those of proximal monopolar M waves, and the opposite occurred for Fmedian. Since, for bipolar M waves, changes in duration and power spectral features produced by alterations in MFCV are not influenced by the electrode-to-tendon distance, the bipolar electrode configuration is a preferable choice over monopolar arrangements to estimate changes in conduction velocity. 相似文献

目的:探讨帕瑞昔布联合股神经阻滞用于膝关节置换术后镇痛的效果及对患者免疫功能的影响。方法:选择2016年10月-2017年10月我院骨科住院部收治并行单侧膝关节置换的患者108例,按镇痛方式分为对照组和观察组各54例。对照组患者采用单纯股神经阻滞,观察组采用股神经阻滞联合帕瑞昔布。比较两组静息及活动状态下术后VAS评分、术后膝关节HSS评分、不良反应的发生情况及免疫指标的变化情况。结果:静息及活动状态下,观察组术后VAS评分均明显低于对照组(P均0.05),膝关节HSS评分显著高于对照组(P0.05)。两组术后不良反应的发生情况比较差异无统计学意义(P0.05)。手术结束时,两组CD4~+较麻醉前均显著下降(P均0.05);术后72 h,两组CD4~+、CD8~+及CD4~+/CD8~+较麻醉前均无显著差异(P均0.05)。观察组术后72 h CD4~+比对照组高(P0.05),而CD4~+/CD8~+显著低于对照组(P0.05)。结论:帕瑞昔布联合股神经阻滞对膝关节置换术后镇痛临床效果好,利于保护和改善患者免疫功能,促进膝关节功能的康复。 相似文献

Three experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of exogenous progesterone on superovulatory response and ova/embryo quality in Bos indicus donors superstimulated during the first follicular wave (FFW). We hypothesized that exogenous progesterone during gonadotropin treatments would improve ova and embryo quality. In Experiment 1, 18 Nelore cows were randomly allocated to three groups: (1) FFW; (2) FFW plus a progesterone-releasing device (FFW+P4); and (3) control (E2+P4). Cows in the FFW groups were superstimulated beginning at synchronized ovulation, whereas cows in the control group were superstimulated after synchronization of follicular wave emergence with estradiol plus progesterone (E2+P4). There were no differences in mean (± SD) numbers of transferable embryos between FFW+P4 (8.0 ± 4.5) and control (6.7 ± 4.8) groups, but both were higher (P = 0.006) than the FFW group (0.2 ± 0.4). In Experiment 2, FFW and FFW+P4 were compared in 20 Nelore donors; exogenous progesterone increased the number of transferable embryos (3.9 ± 3.4 vs. 1.3 ± 4.1, P = 0.003). In Experiment 3, FFW and FFW+P4 were compared in 10 Nelore donors except that cows were slaughtered 12 h after pLH (Lutropin-V®, Bioniche Animal Health, Belleville, ON, Canada) treatment. More mature cumulus oocyte complex (COC) (expanded cumulus cell layers) were collected in the FFW+P4 group than in the FFW group (21.8 ± 13.1 vs. 10.8±14.7; P = 0.003). In summary, superovulatory response was satisfactory when FSH (Folltropin-V®, Bioniche Animal Health) treatment was initiated at emergence of the first follicular wave in Nelore (Bos indicus) donors, and the hypothesis that administration of exogenous progesterone during the treatment will improve oocyte and embryo quality was supported. 相似文献

The cell body sizes and succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) activities of motoneurons in the dorsolateral region of the ventral horn at the cervical and lumbar segments in the rat spinal cord were determined following 9 days of spaceflight with or without 10 days of recovery on Earth. The motoneurons were divided into three types based on their cell body sizes; small-, medium-, and large-sized motoneurons. In control rats, there was no difference in the cell body size or SDH activity of small- and large-sized motoneurons between the cervical and lumbar segments. The SDH activity of medium-sized motoneurons in control rats was higher in the lumbar segment than in the cervical segment, while the cell body sizes of medium-sized motoneurons were identical. The SDH activity of medium-sized motoneurons in the lumbar segment decreased to a level similar to that in the cervical segment of control rats following spaceflight. In addition, the decreased SDH activity of medium-sized motoneurons persisted for at least 10 days of recovery on Earth. It is concluded that spaceflight selectively affects the SDH activity of medium-sized motoneurons in the lumbar segment of the spinal cord, which presumably innervate skeletal muscles having an antigravity function. 相似文献

目的:探讨活血止痛熏洗剂联合功能康复训练对踝关节骨折术后功能恢复及生活质量的影响。方法:将150例踝关节骨折患者,按照随机数字表格法分为观察组与对照组,各75例。观察组患者于手术后2周给予活血止痛熏洗剂联合功能康复训练,对照组手术后单纯给予功能康复。比较两组患者治疗前后功能恢复情况及生活质量变化。结果:观察组的有效率为88.0%,高于对照组的69.3%,两组比较差异显著具有统计学意义(X~2=7.786,P0.05)。治疗后,观察组的症候功能积分低于对照组,观察组的AIMS2-SF生活质量积分高于对照组,两组比较差异著性(P0.05)。结论:活血止痛熏洗剂联合功能康复训练治疗踝关节骨折术后的临床疗效确切,患者症状明显改善,患者生活质量显著提高,临床上应该推广应用。 相似文献

Somatic fusion hybrids between the diploid potato and tomato were backcrossed to several genotypes of potato. Two ploidy levels of fusion hybrids, 4x and 6x, were used as female parents in backcrosses with five clones of 4x-potato. An estimate of the berry set and seed set in immature berries harvested 14–21 days after pollination indicated that crosses between certain combinations of 6x-fusion hybrids and male parents were more successful than others. The culture of over 4000 young seeds from berries harvested 2–2.5 weeks after pollination gave rise to a single seedling, 93.6701, from the cross between the 6x-fusion hybrid C 31-17-1 and the 4x-potato AM 66.42. This seedling was found to possess a pentaploid chromosome number, which was expected of a 6x × 4x cross. Isozyme analysis and DNA hybridisation studies confirmed that the seedling 93.6701 was indeed a backcross (BC1) progeny. Morphologically, this BC1 plant resembled potato with respect to plant habit, leaf shape, stolons and tuber characteristics, while some of the characters, such as floral morphology and the fragrance of the crushed leaves (typical of tomato), were intermediate. It was male sterile but could be successfully hybridized with 4x-potato through in vitro culture of yound seeds; thus, BC2 plants were obtained. The possibilities of backcrossing and the potential use of BC1 and BC2 plants in genetics and breeding are discussed. 相似文献

In a previous study, the ERbeta cDNA protein-coding region was utilised to clone bovine ERbeta. The objectives in this study were to examine (1) ERbeta mRNA expression in ovarian follicles throughout the bovine first follicular wave, and (2) effect of LH infusion into cows on bERbeta mRNA expression during the second follicular wave. In experiment 1, heifers (4-5 per time point) were ovariectomized at 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 144, or 216 h after emergence of the first follicular wave after oestrus. In experiment 2, saline or LH was pulsed hourly (computer-controlled syringe pump) into cows (n = 31; 5-6 per treatment) at wave emergence for 2 or 4 days: wave 1-saline (W1S), wave 2-saline (W2S), or wave 2-LH (25 microg/h; W2LH). Ovaries were removed on day 2 or day 4 after wave emergence. Follicles, 2-19mm in size, were dissected, frozen, and stored at -80 degrees C for in situ hybridisation with two bERbeta cRNA probes. Expression of bERbeta mRNA was localised in granulosa cells of healthy follicles. In experiment 1, bERbeta mRNA expression did not change with time points of the wave showing no association of bERbeta mRNA expression with follicular selection and dominance. However, bERbeta mRNA expression decreased with increase in size of all follicles. Expression of bERbeta mRNA was greater in very small follicles (2-4 mm) than in large (> or = 9 mm) follicles. In experiment 2, expression of bERbeta mRNA in follicles did not differ either between W1S and W2S or between W2S and W2LH. In summary, bERbeta mRNA expression decreased with increasing follicular size. However, neither stage of the wave (selection or dominance), nor pulsatile infusion of LH influenced bERbeta mRNA expression. 相似文献

An investigation was made as to the nature of two of the factors, termed S1, released within the first 30 minutes after contact is made between capacitated hamster sperm and the zona pellucida in vitro. Previous studies showed that these S1 factors were detected two and 20 to 25 minutes after the gametes were combined and that, based on filtration studies, the former possessed a molecular weight of less than 5,000 daltons. The present results show that the quantity of the 20–25-minute S1 factor released into the supernatant increased linearly as a function of the sperm concentration. This factor passed unimpeded through a filter with a 5,000 molecular weight cutoff but only 42% of the activity traversed a filter with a cutoff of 2,000 daltons. The two-minute S1 factor, in the virtual total absence of cells, was stable for 10 to 15 minutes, but lost significant activity upon longer incubation. Under the same conditions, the 20–25-minute factor lost approximately 25% of its activity within 15 minutes, but remained stable at this level for at least 45 minutes of incubation. Both S1 factors were not affected by a mixture of glycosidases, but were inactivated by subtilisin, trypsin, and leucine aminopeptidase which was contaminated with endopeptidases. The activity of the two-minute S1 factor appeared more susceptible to the action of the proteases than that of the 20–25-minute S1 factor. In contrast to previous results obtained with the two-minute S1 factor, the release of the 20–25-minute S1 factor was not inhibited by the inclusion of soybean trypsin inhibitor a t concentrations which are known to inhibit penetration of the zona by the sperm. The turning responses of clawed toads (Xenopus laevis) to surface waves were examined in animals with an intact lateral line or with different combinations of lateral lines reversibly inactivated by CoCl2. The responses were characterized with respect to response frequency, turning accuracy, turning side, response time, and swim distance. After the inactivation most animals still responded to surface waves but the responses were different from those of animals with an intact lateral line. They also differed according to the combination of inactivated lines. In all experiments the responses for stimuli in some sectors of the surface did not differ from controls. The location of these sectors co-varied with the position of the intact lines, i.e., normal responses were found for frontal stimulus directions when head lines were intact and for caudolateral stimulus directions when trunk lines were intact. Their size was larger when lines on both sides of the body were intact and smaller when only lines on one side were intact. When the number of functional lines was reduced to one or two on one side of the body the turning angles shown within the sector of normal responses were maintained for stimulus directions outside these sectors. These results can be interpreted as indicating that head and trunk lines represent different position values. When only a single line was functional the toads still turned towards the stimulus source more often than by chance.It is hypothesized that Xenopus uses two mechanisms to determine the direction of surface waves. One uses the position values of head and trunk lines; this mechanism is comparable to the place value postulated for individual head neuromasts of surface feeding fish. The other uses the information encoded in the activity pattern that is elicited in one line when the surface wave travels over the line. This second mechanism yields information about stimulus side but not about stimulus angle. 相似文献
