目的:探讨超声引导经阴道射频消融治疗症状性子宫肌瘤的安全性和有效性。方法:选择39例症状性子宫肌瘤患者进行经阴道射频消融治疗。术前超声测量肌瘤体积,采用子宫肌瘤症状和生存质量调查表对患者的子宫肌瘤相关症状的严重程度以及生活质量情况进行评分,观察治疗前和治疗后3、6、9、12个月肌瘤体积缩小率、临床症状及生活质量的改善情况和治疗前后卵巢功能的变化情况。结果:射频消融平均手术时间25分钟,术中及术后均未见明显并发症。本组术前肌瘤体积为65.2±49.3 cm~3;术后3、6、9、12个月肌瘤体积分别为32.2±27.6 cm~3、21.2±18.2 cm~3、15.3±12.1 cm~3、10.3±9.8 cm~3,与术前相比均显著缩小(P0.05)。术前SSS评分为60.23±13.2,术后3、6、9、12个月SSS评分分别为42.2±11.4、21.1±10.2、15.4±10.3、12.2±9.7,与治疗前相比均明显下降(P0.05)。术前QOL评分为58.24±16.24,术后3、6、9、12个月QOL评分分别为70.3±20.3、81.4±8.6、86.3±7.6、88.2±9.1,与治疗前相比逐渐上升,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。手术后3、6、9、12个月后患者的FSH、LH、E2水平与术前相比,差异均无统计学意义(P0.05)。结论:超声引导下经阴道射频治疗子宫肌瘤可以有效缩小肌瘤体积,改善患者的临床症状,并提高患者的生活质量。  相似文献

Background

Air-displacement plethysmography (ADP) is becoming a popular method to assess body composition. Several studies have shown certain types of clothing can affect measurements of body density, however no study has specifically investigated the effect of cotton gym shorts and spandex bicycle shorts on body density.

Methods

Thirty-seven males (23.0 ± 3.2 yr., 177.3 ± 5.4 cm., 74.8 ± 7.5 kg.) and thirty-eight females (23.7 ± 5.3 yr., 163.6 ± 8.4 cm., 57.1 ± 7.0 kg.) had their body density measured by ADP in three clothing schemes: 1) a tight fitting Speedo® swim suit (criterion measure), 2) cotton gym shorts, and 3) spandex bicycle shorts. The clothing was provided by the University of Oklahoma Body Composition Laboratory and the testing schemes were performed in random order.

Results

The regression of body density by the criterion measure against body density while wearing cotton gym shorts for the entire group (y = 0.001 + 0.991x, SEE = 0.003 g/cm3) and the females (y = 0.059 + 0.934x, SEE = 0.003 g/cm3) did not significantly deviate from the line of identity. However in males the regression significantly deviated from the line of identity (y = 0.052 + 0.944x, SEE = 0.002 g/cm3). Body density by the criterion measure and body density while wearing spandex bicycle shorts did not significantly differ from the line of identity for the entire group (y = -0.018 + 1.013x SEE = 0.003 g/cm3), in males (y = -0.002 + 1.001x, SEE = 0.003 g/cm3), or females (y = 0.073 + 0.925x, SEE = 0.003 g/cm3). Residual plot analysis revealed no group or gender bias in either the cotton gym shorts or in the spandex bicycle shorts.

Conclusion

It would appear bicycle spandex shorts are an acceptable alternative to a Speedo® like swim suit, however we advise that subjects adhere to the strict clothing protocol that is recommended by the manufacturer.

The quantum yield for the reductive elimination of azide from trans-Pt(CN)4(N3)22− to yield P-(CN)42− and molecular nitrogen in aqueous solution was studied as a function of pressure up to 200 MPa. The resulting volume of activation of 8.1 ± 0.4 cm3 mol−1 is interpreted as evidence for the formation of a caged radical species via simultaneous scission of both PtN3 bonds in the CT excited state. Similar measurements in ethanol result in a volume of activation of 14.3 ± 0.9 cm3 mol−1. An additional deactivation route for the CT excited state is suggested to account for this result.  相似文献

Allometric equations for the estimation of tree volume and aboveground biomass in a tropical humid forest were developed based on direct measurements of 19 individuals of seven tree species in Northern Costa Rica. The volume and the biomass of the stems represented about two‐thirds of the total volume and total aboveground biomass, respectively. The average stem volume varied between 4 and 11 Mg/tree and the average total aboveground biomass ranged from 4 to 10 mg/tree. The mean specific gravity of the sampled trees was 0.62 ± 0.06 (g/cm3). The average biomass expansion factor was 1.6 ± 0.2. The best‐fit equations for stem and total volume were of logarithmic form, with diameter at breast height (R2= 0.66 ? 0.81) as an independent variable. The best‐fit equations for total aboveground biomass that were based on combinations of diameter at breast height, and total and commercial height as independent variables had R2 values between 0.77 and 0.87. Models recommended for estimating total aboveground biomass are based on diameter at breast height, because the simplicity of these models is advantageous. This variable is easy to measure accurately in the field and is the most common variable recorded in forest inventories. Two widely used models in literature tend to underestimate aboveground biomass in large trees. In contrast, the models developed in this study accurately estimate the total aboveground biomass in these trees.  相似文献

The present study attempts to assess the potential of artificial substrates to enhance fish production in inland saline groundwater ponds through periphyton production. Grey mullet, Mugil cephalus, was cultured for 100 days in ponds with substrate (treatment ponds) and without substrate (control ponds). To enhance the surface area, bamboo poles were used as substrate. The periphyton population, pigment concentration and hydrobiological characteristics of pond water were monitored. The studies revealed little difference in most of the water quality parameters observed in the two treatments. However, turbidity (27.0 ± 0.1–35.0 ± 0.1 Nephalo Turbidity Unit (NTU)), chlorophyll ‘a’ (6.6 ± 0.6–7.6 ± 0.6 μg L?1), plankton population (phytoplankton 8.4 × 103–9.4 ×103 numbers L?1; zooplankton 4.0 × 103–5.1 × 103 numbers L?1) and NH4–N (2.0 ± 0.2–2.3 ± 0.1 mg L?1) were high in the treatment with no additional substrate; however, in the treatment with substrate the total Kjeldahl nitrogen (9.8 ± 0.8–10.8 ± 0.7 mg L?1) and o‐PO4 (0.1 ± 0.01–0.1 mg L?1) remained significantly (P < 0.05) higher. Highest periphyton biomass in terms of dry matter (DM) (0.8 ± 0.01–1.4 ±0.01 mg cm?2), ash free DM (0.4 ± 0.0–0.6 ± 0.01 mg cm?2), chlorophyll ‘a’ (3.1 ± 0.2–8.1 ± 0.8 μg cm?2) and pheophytin ‘a’ (1.9 ± 0.4–3.9 ± 0.5 μg cm?2) was observed at 50 cm depth in ponds provided with additional substrate. Fifteen plankton genera showing periphytic affinity colonized the bamboo substrates. Fish growth (mean fish weight 524.3 ± 8.7 g and SGR 2.5 ± 0.1) was significantly (P < 0.05) higher in ponds provided with additional substrate compared with control ponds (387.2 ± 6.0). Length–weight relationship (LWR) (W = cLn) also showed that the exponential value (‘n’) of length was high in substrate‐supported ponds (n = 2.36) in comparison with controls (n = 1.09). These studies suggest that a periphyton‐supported aquaculture system can be used successfully for the culture of herbivorous brackishwater fish species like M. cephalus in inland saline groundwaters and thus could contribute to the development of sound and sustainable aquaculture technology.  相似文献

To detect changes in the oxygen concentration during biochemical reactions, the exchange broadening in the ESR spectra of nitroxide radicals caused by the dissolved oxygen, has been used. The measurements have been carried out using changes in the width either of the proton hyperfine structure components or of the nitrogen hyperfine structure line with an unresolved proton structure. Detection of mitochondrial respiration in a volume of about 10?3 cm3 and respiration for 100±5 liver cells in a volume of about 10?4 cm3 has been carried out.  相似文献

The aboveground wood biomass (AWB) of tropical forests plays an important role in the global carbon cycle, and local AWB estimates provide essential data that enable the extrapolation of biomass stocks to ecosystem or biome-wide carbon cycle modelling. Few AWB estimates exist in Neotropical freshwater floodplains, where tree species distribution and forest structure depend on the height and duration of periodic inundations. We investigated tree species composition, forest structure, wood specific gravity, and AWB of trees ≥10 cm dbh in 16 plots totalling an area of 1 ha in a seasonally inundated riparian forest of the lower Miranda River, southern Pantanal, Brazil. The 443 tree individuals belonged to 46 species. Four species (Inga vera, Ocotea suaveolens, Tabebuia heptaphylla and Cecropia pachystachya) comprised more than 50% of the Total Importance Values (TIV), and floristic similarities between the plots averaged 38%. Although we detected an overall increase in species diversity correlated with decreasing flood levels, the most important tree species had almost identical distribution patterns along the flooding gradient. The stand basal area per plot (±?s.d.) amounted to 3.0?±?1.1 m2 (47.8?±?18.1 m2/ha), and the tree heights averaged 10.9?±?1.4 m. Multiplying the individual basal areas by individual tree heights and a form factor of 0.6, we estimated the aboveground wood volume (AWV) for each individual, and for each plot (24.4?±?11.7 m3, 391.1?±?188 m3/ha). Wood specific gravity (SG) varied between 0.39 g/cm3 (Cecropia pachystachya) and 0.87 g/cm3 (Tabebuia heptaphylla), with a stand level average of 0.63?±?0.12 g/cm3. Multiplying the individual AWV with species SG, we estimated the plot AWB to be 16.2?±?6.4 Mg (259.4?±?102 Mg/ha). This value is comparable to that reported for late-successional forest stands of Amazonian floodplain forests, and it is close to the worldwide tropical average AWB. Because tree heights in the present forest were comparatively low when compared to other Neotropical forests, we found that resprouting of stems accounted for comparatively high basal areas. We argue that stem resprouting is an adaptation of tree species originating in non-flooded Cerrado to the seasonal inundations of riparian forests.  相似文献

We developed an efficient postal audit system to independently assess the delivered dose using radiophotoluminescent glass dosimeters (RPLDs) and the positional differences of fields using EBT3 film at the axial plane for intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). The audit phantom had a C-shaped target structure as a planning target volume (PTV) with four measurement points for the RPLDs and a cylindrical structure as the organ at risk (OAR) for one measurement point. The phantoms were sent to 24 institutions. Point dose measurements with a 0.6 cm3 PTW farmer chamber were also performed to justify glass dosimetry in IMRT. The measured dose with the RPLDs was compared to the calculated dose in the institution’s treatment planning system (TPS). The mean ± 1.96σ of the ratio of the measured dose with the RPLDs to the farmer chamber was 0.997 ± 0.024 with no significant difference (p = .175). The investigations demonstrated that glass dosimetry was reliable with a high measurement accuracy comparable to the chamber. The mean ± 1.96σ for the dose differences with a reference of the TPS dose for the PTV and the OAR was 0.1 ± 2.5% and −2.1 ± 17.8%, respectively. The mean ± 1.96σ for the right-left and the anterior–posterior direction was −0.9 ± 2.8 and 0.5 ± 1.4 mm, respectively. This study is the first report to justify glass dosimetry for implementation in IMRT audit in Japan. We demonstrate that our postal audit system has high accuracy with a high-level criterion of 3%/3 mm.  相似文献

泥炭地作为陆地上生态系统一个重要碳汇,存储了全球土壤有机碳储量的25%—43%。泥炭地排水与其他土地利用导致了大量的土壤有机碳损失。然而,有关排水对中国泥炭地土壤有机碳储量的影响研究报道较少,因此,为了获得更多可靠的泥炭地碳储量信息,以便减少它们估算的不确定性。选取了我国若尔盖高原未排水泥炭地和排水泥炭地进行土壤剖面取样,定量评价排水对泥炭地土壤有机碳储量的影响。研究表明:(1)未排水泥炭地土壤有机碳储量平均值为(923.71±107.18)t C/hm~2,为中国陆地和全球陆地土壤有机碳储量的8.1和9.4倍;而排水泥炭地土壤有机碳储量平均值为(574.01±66.86)t C/hm~2,为中国和全球陆地的5.1和5.8倍。(2)泥炭地排水后,导致表层(0—30 cm)土壤有机碳储量增加(59.11±9.31)t C/hm~2,可能源于土壤容重增加。(3)然而,完全考虑泥炭剖面深度后,排水泥炭地土壤有机碳储量较对照样地减少了349.7 t C/hm~2,这可能是由于泥炭地排水后,水位降低,加速了泥炭氧化,降低了泥炭厚度。  相似文献

Objective: The objective of this study was to determine the effect of body hair (scalp and facial) on air displacement plethysmography (BOD POD) estimates of percentage of body fat. Research Methods and Procedures: A total of 25 men (31.4 ± 8.0 years, 83.4 ± 12.2 kg, 181.8 ± 6.9 cm) agreed to grow a beard for 3 weeks to participate in the study. Total body density (g/cm3) and percentage of body fat were evaluated by BOD POD. To observe the effect of trapped isothermal air in body hair, BOD POD measures were performed in four conditions: criterion method (the beard was shaven and a swimcap was worn), facial hair and swimcap, facial hair and no swimcap, and no facial hair and no swimcap. Results: The presence of only a beard (facial hair and swimcap) resulted in a significant underestimation of percentage of body fat (16.2%, 1.0618 g/cm3) vs. the criterion method (17.1%, 1.0597 g/cm3, p < 0.001). The effect of scalp hair (no swim cap worn) resulted in a significant underestimation in percentage of body fat relative to the criterion method, either with facial hair (facial hair and no swimcap; 14.8%, 1.0649 g/cm3) or without facial hair (no facial hair and no swimcap; 14.8%, 1.0650 g/cm3, p < 0.001 for both). Discussion: A significant underestimation of percentage of body fat was observed with the presence of facial hair (~1%) and scalp hair (~2.3%). This underestimation in percentage of body fat may be caused by the effect of trapped isothermal air in body hair on body‐volume estimates. Thus, excess facial hair should be kept to a minimum and a swimcap should be worn at all times to ensure accurate estimates of body fat when using the BOD POD.  相似文献

Infrared thermographic calorimetry uses an infrared camera and heat loss equations as a non-invasive method to obtain the energy expenditure of humans. This study focused on preterm infants under radiant warmers, and physiological changes the infants underwent when the radiant heat source was removed. Ten infants with a mean weight of 1.88±1.29 kg (±=SD) showed a mean energy expenditure of 3.08±0.55 kcal kg−1 h−1. When the warmer was removed for 2 min and 30 s, heat loss increased to 6.50±1.07 kcal kg−1 h−1 and mean body temperature dropped by 1.0±0.3°C. Thirty seconds after the warmer was returned, mean body surface temperature and heat loss returned to original levels.  相似文献

Static and dynamic light scattering measurements were made of solutions of pGem1a plasmids (3730 base pairs) in the relaxed circular (nicked) and supercoiled forms. The static structure factor and the spectrum of decay modes in the autocorrelation function were examined in order to determine the salient differences between the behaviors of nicked DNA and supercoiled DNA. The concentrations studied are within the dilute regime, which is to say that the structure and dynamics of an isolated DNA molecule were probed. Static light scattering measurements yielded estimates for the molecular weight M, second virial coefficient A2, and radius of gyration RG. For the nicked DNA, M = (2.8 ± 0.4) × 106g/mol, A2 = (0.9 ± 0.2) × 10−3 mol cm3/g2, and RG = 90 ± 3 nm were obtained. For the supercoiled DNA, M = (2.5 ± 0.4) × 106 g/mol, A2 = (1.2 ± 0.2) × 10−3 mol cm3/g2, and RG = 82 ± 2.5 nm were obtained. The static structure factors for the nicked and supercoiled DNA were found to superpose when they were scaled by the radius of gyration. The intrinsic stiffness of DNA was evident in the static light scattering data. Homodyne intensity autocorrelation functions were collected for both DNAs at several angles, or scattering vectors. At the smallest scattering vectors the probe size was comparable to the longest intramolecular distance, while at the largest scattering vectors the probe size was smaller than the persistence length of the DNA. Values of the self-diffusion coefficients D were obtained from the low-angle data. For the nicked DNA, D = (2.9 ± 0.3) × 10−8 cm2/s, and for the supercoiled DNA, D = (4.11 ± 0.21) × 10−8 cm2/s. The contribution to the correlation function from the internal dynamics of the DNA was seen to result in a strictly bimodal decay function. The rates of the faster mode Γint, reached plateau values at low angles. For the nicked DNA, Γint = 2500 ± 500 s−1, and for the supercoiled DNA, Γint = 5000 ± 500 s−1. These rates correspond to the slowest internal relaxation modes of the DNAs. The dependence of the relaxation rates on scattering vector was monitored with the aid of cumulants analysis and compared with theoretical predictions for the semiflexible ring molecule. The internal mode rates and the dependence of the cumulants moments reflected the difference between the nicked DNA and the supercoiled DNA dynamical behavior. The supercoiled DNA behavior seen here indicates that conformational dynamics might play a larger role in DNA behavior than is suggested by the notion of a branched interwound structure. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

To identify the importance of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) colonizing wetland seedlings following flooding, we assessed the effects of AMF on seedling establishment of two pioneer species, Bidens frondosa and Eclipta prostrata grown under three levels of water availability and ask: (1) Do inoculated seedlings differ in growth and development from non-inoculated plants? (2) Are the effects of inoculation and degree of colonization dependent on water availability? (3) Do plant responses to inoculation differ between two closely related species? Inoculation had no detectable effects on shoot height, or plant biomass but did affect biomass partitioning and root morphology in a species-specific manner. Shoot/root ratios were significantly lower in non-inoculated E. prostrata plants compared with inoculated plants (0.381 ± 0.066 vs. 0.683 ± 0.132). Root length and surface area were greater in non-inoculated E. prostrata (259.55 ± 33.78 cm vs. 194.64 ± 27.45 cm and 54.91 ± 7.628 cm2 vs. 46.26 ± 6.8 cm2, respectively). Inoculation had no detectable effect on B. frondosa root length, volume, or surface area. AMF associations formed at all levels of water availability. Hyphal, arbuscular, and vesicular colonization levels were greater in dry compared with intermediate and flooded treatments. Measures of mycorrhizal responsiveness were significantly depressed in E. prostrata compared with B. frondosa for total fresh weight (−0.3 ± 0.18 g vs. 0.06 ± 0.06 g), root length (−0.78 ± 0.28 cm vs.−0.11 ± 0.07 cm), root volume (−0.49 ± 0.22 cm3 vs. 0.06 ± 0.07 cm3), and surface area (−0.59 ± 0.23 cm2 vs.−0.03 ± 0.08 cm2). Given the disparity in species response to AMF inoculation, events that alter AMF prevalence in wetlands could significantly alter plant community structure by directly affecting seedling growth and development.  相似文献

The gold standard to determine muscle morphological parameters is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). To measure large muscles like the vastus lateralis (VL) in one sequence, scanners with a large field of view (FOV) and a high flux density are needed. However, large scanners are expensive and not always available. The purpose of the current study was to develop a marker-based approach to reconstruct the VL from several separate MRI sequences, acquired with a low-field MRI scanner. The VL muscle of 21 volunteers was marked at one-third and two-third of thigh length using fish oil capsules. Three consecutive MRI sequences (i.e. proximal, medial and distal part) of the thigh were captured between the markers and the muscle insertion and origin. After a manual segmentation of the VL the muscle was reconstructed using the developed approach. The muscle volume, maximal anatomical cross-sectional area and length were 715.1 ± 93.4 cm3, 34.0 ± 4.0 cm2 and 34.4 ± 2.2 cm respectively. The procedure showed an average error between 0.9% and 2.2% for the reconstructed muscle volume, the averaged RMSD between the cross-sectional areas of two overlapping sequences were between 0.80 ± 0.71 cm2 and 0.88 ± 0.78 cm2. The proposed approach provides an appropriate accuracy for muscle volume assessment, as the estimated error for muscle volume calculation was quite small. The reconstruction quality depends mainly on the proper marker attachment and identification, as well as the spatial resolution of the image sequences. We are confident that the presented method can be used in most investigations regarding muscle morphology.  相似文献

The ontogeny of larval body density and the morphological and histological events during swimbladder development were investigated in two cohorts of yellowtail kingfish Seriola lalandi larvae to understand the relationship between larval morphology and body density. Larvae <3 days post hatch (dph) were positively buoyant with a mean ± s.d . body density of 1·023 ± 0·001 g cm?3. Histological evidence demonstrated that S. lalandi larvae are initially transient physostomes with the primordial swimbladder derived from the evagination of the gut ventral to the notochord and seen at 2 dph. A pneumatic duct connected the swimbladder to the oesophagus, but degenerated after 5 dph. Initial swimbladder (SB) inflation occurred on 3 dph, and the inflation window was 3–5 dph when the pneumatic duct was still connected to the gut. The swimbladder volume increased with larval age and the epithelial lining on the swimbladder became flattened squamous cells after initial inflation. Seriola lalandi developed into a physoclist with the formation of the rete mirabile and the gas‐secreting gland comprised low‐columnar epithelial cells. Larvae with successfully inflated swimbladders remained positively buoyant, whereas larvae without SB inflation became negatively buoyant and their body density gradually reached 1·030 ± 0·001 g cm?3 by 10 dph. Diel density changes were observed after 5 dph, owing to day time deflation and night‐time inflation of the swimbladder. These results show that SB inflation has a direct effect on body density in larval S. lalandi and environmental factors should be further investigated to enhance the rate of SB inflation to prevent the sinking death syndrome in the early life stage of the fish larvae.  相似文献

Honokiol is a natural phenolic anti-cancer compound isolated from an extract of seed cones from Magnolia grandiflora. This study investigated the transdermal delivery of honokiol using various enhancement methods and to explore the potential of honokiol to treat breast cancer directly via delivery through mammary papilla. Poration of dermatomed human skin with microneedles significantly increased the delivery of honokiol by nearly 3-fold (97.81?±?18.96 μg/cm2) compared with passive delivery (32.56?±?5.67 μg/cm2). Oleic acid was found to be the best chemical penetration enhancer, increasing the delivery almost 27-fold (868.06?±?100.91 μg/cm2). Addition of oleic acid also resulted in better retention of drug in the porcine mammary papilla (965.41?±?80.26 μg/cm2) compared with breast skin (294.16?±?8.49 μg/cm2). Anti-cancer effect of honokiol was demonstrated with the decrease in the release of cytokine IL-6 and further suppression of Ki-67 proliferative protein. In addition, the topical honokiol formulation investigated was found to be safe and non-irritant. In summary, both microneedles and chemical enhancers can improve the absorption of honokiol through skin. Directly applying honokiol on mammary papilla is a potential administration route which can increase localized delivery into breast tissue.  相似文献

Rotation of single swollen thylakoid vesicles (‘blebs’) was induced by means of a rotating electric field of strength 104 V · cm−1, inducing a membrane voltage of 72 mV peak. Within the range of medium conductives described (40–300 μS · cm−1), measurement of the field frequency (2–100 kHz) giving maximum rotation rate is equivalent to measuring the electrical time constant of the bleb membrane. Hence the membrane capacity (specific capacitance) was determined, and the value found at pH 8.1 (0.93 ± 0.07 μF · cm−2) is in agreement with values deduced from measurements using other techniques. However, the capacity was also found to decreased with pH: a minimum value of 0.77 ± 0.01 μF · cm−2 was measured at pH 4.4. The present study was extended to measurements of the effects of the lipid-soluble anion of dipicrylamine on the membrane capacity. At pH 7.2 and dipicrylamine concentration of 1.0 μM, a minimum estimate of the apparent membrane capacity was found to be 2.0 ± 0.2 μF · cm−2, with 2.6 ± 0.2 μF · cm−2 being observed at 5.0 μM concentration. In addition, it was found possible to measure the membrane resistivity (specific resistance) in the presence of either gramicidin (1.0 to 10 nM) or valinomycin (1.0 to 10 μM). In the case of gramicidin, it was possible to derive a maximum estimate of the mean channel conductance, and this agrees very well with the values for individual, single channels that may be deduced from artificial bilayer work. Unless the gramicidin channels in blebs are in fact substantially more conductive than in artificial bilayers, this indicates that a high percentage of the added gramicidin forms channels which are open for most of the time. In the case of valinomycin, a much greater amount had to be added to produce the same reduction of membrane resistivity as seen with a given concentration of gramicidin. However, calculations indicate that the majority of this effect is due to the difference in partioning behaviour of the two ionophores.  相似文献

The volume of the thigh adipose tissue was estimated using magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) and anthropometric measurements. Eighty-seven physically well-developed men aged 18–45 years participated in the experiment. The MRT estimate of the thigh fat volume was 2206 ± 882 cm3. The results were used to derive two multiple linear regression equations for calculating the thigh adipose tissue volume from anthropometric parameters. The correlation coefficient between the thigh adipose tissue volumes calculated from the equation and measured by MRT was r = 0.97.  相似文献

Twelve Murrah buffaloes were selected from the institute herd and acoustic features like call duration, amplitude, total energy, mean pitch, mean intensity, formants (F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5), and N/H (Noise to Harmonic) ratio were analyzed. Call duration was significantly higher on day of estrus (1.52 ± 0.07 s) and proestrus (1.44 ± 0.07 s) than in metestrus (1.241 ± 0.04 s) and diestrus stages (0.981 ± 0.05 s). Total energy (0.121 ± 0.01 P2s), mean pitch (226.67 ± 14.11 Hz), maximum amplitude (0.959 ± 0.01 P), and mean intensity (85.05 ± 0.26 dB) was more (p < 0.05) in proestrus than in other stages. F1 (1131.94 ± 11.85 Hz) and F5 formants (6567.74 ± 12.62 Hz) were significantly higher (p < 0.05) during estrus, while F2 (2238.46 ± 26.53 Hz), F3 (3435.00 ± 19.33 Hz), and F4 formants (5127.71 ± 25.90 Hz) were higher (p < 0.05) in proestrus in comparison to other stages of estrous cycle. The identified acoustic features of voice in Murrah buffaloes were signficantly different in various stages of estrous cycle. These could be used as a tool for estrus detection management in buffaloes which have probems of silent estrus.  相似文献
