利用观测试验资料,对比分析了夏季典型晴天敦煌绿洲与周围荒漠戈壁背景地表过程的差异,揭示了绿洲生态系统对干旱区荒漠背景地表过程的扰动特征。结果表明:绿洲地表净辐射日平均要高出周围荒漠戈壁背景60 W/m2以上,约占绿洲净辐射的1/4以上。对绿洲高出的净辐射贡献最大的是绿洲相对低的地表长波辐射,其次是较高的太阳总辐射。而绿洲相对较低的大气长波辐射对高出的净辐射有较大的负贡献,特别是地表反射辐射也有很小的负贡献。绿洲高出的地表净辐射主要贡献于加强潜热和地热流量,还有一部分被绿洲地表能量不平衡差额所占,它实际上可能由一般地表热量平衡所不考虑的垂直热量平流来输送。而绿洲明显低于荒漠背景的感热通量则节省了一部分净辐射能量。  相似文献

Specifically absorbed rabbit antisera to a mouse testicular teratoma were used to study the expression of three heteroantigens on cell surfaces of early mouse embryos. This antiserum is known to define three antigens on the surface of murine tumor cells, though it does not bind to cells of normal adult tissue. Antigen I, physically associated with H-2 antigens in L-cell plasma membranes and found on many transplantable mouse tumors (7), is expressed by ova and morulae. Antigen I persists on cells of the inner-cell mass beyond implantation, but is not detected on trophoblast. In contrast, antigen II, found on teratoma and hepatoma cells, is absent from cleavage embryos and is first expressed on differentiation of the trophoblast prior to implantation. Antigen III, which is apparently teratoma specific, is absent from all embryonic material studied.  相似文献

Two new species of Leporinus are described from tributaries of the Rio Amazonas in Brazil. One species is known from the Jari and Tapajós River basins, and is identified on the basis of a gas bladder reduced in size, a dark midlateral stripe on the body, dark transverse bars on the dorsum, a subinferior mouth, three teeth on the premaxilla, four teeth on the dentary and 16 scale rows around the caudal peduncle. The second new species is known from the Tocantins, Xingu and Tapajós River basins, and is identified on the basis of three dark longitudinal stripes on the body, a subinferior mouth, three teeth on the premaxilla, four teeth on the dentary and 12 scale rows around the caudal peduncle. In addition, Leporinus striatus is redescribed based on type and additional specimens from the Río de La Plata, Amazonas, Orinoco, Atrato, Magdalena and Sinu River basins. Leporinus striatus is identified on the basis of four dark longitudinal stripes on the body, a subterminal mouth, three teeth on the premaxilla, four teeth on the dentary and 16 scale rows around the caudal peduncle.  相似文献

Synthetic biology is considered as an emerging research field that will bring new opportunities to biotechnology. There is an expectation that synthetic biology will not only enhance knowledge in basic science, but will also have great potential for practical applications. Synthetic biology is still in an early developmental stage in China. We provide here a review of current Chinese research activities in synthetic biology and its different subfields, such as research on genetic circuits, minimal genomes, chemical synthetic biology, protocells and DNA synthesis, using literature reviews and personal communications with Chinese researchers. To meet the increasing demand for a sustainable development, research on genetic circuits to harness biomass is the most pursed research within Chinese researchers. The environmental concerns are driven force of research on the genetic circuits for bioremediation. The research on minimal genomes is carried on identifying the smallest number of genomes needed for engineering minimal cell factories and research on chemical synthetic biology is focused on artificial proteins and expanded genetic code. The research on protocells is more in combination with the research on molecular-scale motors. The research on DNA synthesis and its commercialisation are also reviewed. As for the perspective on potential future Chinese R&D activities, it will be discussed based on the research capacity and governmental policy.  相似文献

Sugarcane is now an extremely important crop, particularly in tropical countries. Its use for sugar and ethanol production is critical and cultivated area and biomass yield are increasing. Environmental pollution by anthropogenic activities is perhaps one of the most disturbing problems the world is facing and the cultivation of crops is subjected to this pollution, which may result in drastic effects on crop production. Curiously, the literature on the study of abiotic stresses on sugarcane is very limited, indicating that there is far more research to be done and investigations on this topic need to be prioritized. In this article, we have tried to focus on four key abiotic stresses, drought, temperature, salt and toxic metals, to which sugarcane is most likely to be subjected and reviewed the scarce current literature on the subject.  相似文献

Bt水稻田不同斑块设计对田间节肢动物群落稳定性的影响   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
利用正交设计考察了B t水稻种植面积大小以及与非转基因水稻相间距离两个因素对稻田节肢动物群落稳定性的影响。结果表明:在转B t稻斑块与非转B t稻斑块共存格局下,尽管两因素对两个品种上节肢动物群落物种丰富度影响不大,但较大斑块面积对两个品种水稻而言均有利于其上节肢动物群落多样性的保持。同时还发现,两个因素对两个品种斑块上的节肢动物群落影响不尽相同,且起显著效应的时间分布也因品种而异。对转B t稻斑块上节肢动物群落显著影响集中在水稻生育期前期(7月份)和末期(9月份),以斑块面积因素相对而言对节肢动物群落稳定性影响更大,具体表现在其面积越大,多样性越高,优势集中度越大。而对于非转B t稻两个因素对其上节肢动物群落的影响几乎贯穿整个调查期,其中又以斑块相间距离因素的影响更大,距离越小,多样性越高,优势集中度越低。进一步品种间的比较发现,转B t稻对田间节肢动物群落影响显著,在靶标害虫危害盛期其上节肢动物群落明显比非转B t稻上的稳定,而在非靶标害虫危害为主的时期,转B t稻田上节肢动物群落均不如非转B t稻上的稳定,尤其在水稻移栽后初期表现显著。  相似文献

ObjectiveInvestigating the application of CT images when diagnosing lung cancer based on finite mixture model is the objective. Method: 120 clean healthy rats were taken as the research objects to establish lung cancer rat model and carry out lung CT image examination. After the successful CT image data preprocessing, the image is segmented by different methods, which include lung nodule segmentation on the basis of Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization – Gaussian mixture model (APSO-GMM), lung nodule segmentation on the basis of Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization – gamma mixture model (APSO-GaMM), lung nodule segmentation based on statistical information and self-selected mixed distribution model, and lung nodule segmentation based on neighborhood information and self-selected mixed distribution model. The segmentation effect is evaluated. Results: Compared with the results of lung nodule segmentation based on statistical information and self-selected mixed distribution model, the Dice coefficient of lung nodule segmentation based on neighborhood information and self-selected mixed distribution model is higher, the relative final measurement accuracy is smaller, the segmentation is more accurate, but the running time is longer. Compared with APSO-GMM and APSO-GaMM, the dice value of self-selected mixed distribution model segmentation method is larger, and the final measurement accuracy is smaller. Conclusion: Among the five methods, the dice value of the self-selected mixed distribution model based on neighborhood information is the largest, and the relative accuracy of the final measurement is the smallest, indicating that the segmentation effect of the self-selected mixed distribution model based on neighborhood information is the best.  相似文献

A Pleiotropic Nonadditive Model of Variation in Quantitative Traits   总被引:11,自引:8,他引:3  
A model of mutation-selection-drift balance incorporating pleiotropic and dominance effects of new mutations on quantitative traits and fitness is investigated and used to predict the amount and nature of genetic variation maintained in segregating populations. The model is based on recent information on the joint distribution of mutant effects on bristle traits and fitness in Drosophila melanogaster from experiments on the accumulation of spontaneous and P element-induced mutations. These experiments suggest a leptokurtic distribution of effects with an intermediate correlation between effects on the trait and fitness. Mutants of large effect tend to be partially recessive while those with smaller effect are on average additive, but apparently with very variable gene action. The model is parameterized with two different sets of information derived from P element insertion and spontaneous mutation data, though the latter are not fully known. They differ in the number of mutations per generation which is assumed to affect the trait. Predictions of the variance maintained for bristle number assuming parameters derived from effects of P element insertions, in which the proportion of mutations with an effect on the trait is small, fit reasonably well with experimental observations. The equilibrium genetic variance is nearly independent of the degree of dominance of new mutations. Heritabilities of between 0.4 and 0.6 are predicted with population sizes from 10(4) to 10(6), and most of the variance for the metric trait in segregating populations is due to a small proportion of mutations (about 1% of the total number) with neutral or nearly neutral effects on fitness and intermediate effects on the trait (0.1-0.5σ(P)). Much of the genetic variance is contributed by recessive or partially recessive mutants, but only a small proportion (about 10%) of the genetic variance is dominance variance. The amount of apparent selection on the trait itself generated by the model is very small. If a model is assumed in which all mutation events have an effect on the quantitative trait, the majority of the genetic variance is contributed by deleterious mutations with tiny effects on the trait. If such a model is assumed for viability, the heritability is about 0.1, independent of the population size.  相似文献

It is well-known that Escherichia coli grows more slowly on gluconeogenic carbon sources than on glucose. This phenomenon has been attributed to either energy or monomer limitation. To investigate this problem further, we varied the expression levels of pck, encoding phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (Pck), and pps, encoding phosphoenolpyruvate synthase (Pps). We found that the growth rates of E. coli in minimal medium supplemented with succinate and with pyruvate are limited by the levels of Pck and Pps, respectively. Optimal overexpression of pck or pps increases the unrestricted growth rates on succinate and on pyruvate, respectively, to the same level attained by the wild-type growth rate on glycerol. Since Pps is needed to supply precursors for biosyntheses, we conclude that E. coli growing on pyruvate is limited by monomer supply. However, because pck is required both for biosyntheses and catabolism for cells growing on succinate, it is possible that growth on succinate is limited by both monomer and energy supplies. The growth yield with respect to oxygen remains approximately constant, even though the overproduction of these enzymes enhances gluconeogenic growth. It appears that the constant yield for oxygen is characteristic of efficient growth on a particular substrate and that the yield is already optimal for wild-type strains. Further increases in either Pck or Pps above the optimal levels become growth inhibitory, and the growth yield for oxygen is reduced, indicating less efficient growth.  相似文献

A review of literature on the pathogenicity factors of non-cholera vibrios and Aeromonas is presented. A detailed analysis of such pathogenicity factors as hemolysins, lecithinases, cytotoxins, adhesins, etc. is given. Information on some mechanisms of the pathogenetic action of these factors on warm-blooded animals is presented. The necessity of more extensive research on pathogenicity and persistence factors in opportunistic bacteria causing sapronotic infections is emphasized.  相似文献

A new antigen termed PTA (plasmocytoma thymus antigen) is described which occurs on 70--80% of mouse thymocytes of all mouse strains tested and on an IgG 2b producing BALB/c plasma cell tumor. PTA is detectable on mouse spleen and lymph node cells. It is absent from liver, brain, bone marrow, and antibody plaque forming cells. It is suggested that the former division of degenerative arthritis into idiopathic types and those secondary to some disease process is no longer valid. Recent studies have indicated that abnormal concentrations of force on cartilage lead to the development of this disease. 详细考察了基于HNP(H:hydtophobic,N:neutral,P:hydrophilic)模型及相对熵的蛋白质设计方法对于不同结构类型蛋白质的适用性,并与基于HP模型的结果进行了比较.通过对190个4种不同结构类型的蛋白质进行预测,结果表明,基于HNP模型及相对熵的设计方法对于不同结构类型的蛋白质具有普适性.进一步的研究发现,对于α螺旋、β折叠等规则的二级结构,该方法的预测成功率高于无规卷曲结构预测成功率.另外,还比较了对不同氨基酸的预测差异,结果显示亲水残基的预测成功率较高.此外,研究表明该方法对于蛋白质保守残基的预测成功率高于非保守残基.在以上分析的基础上,进一步讨论了导致这些差异的原因.这些研究为基于相对熵的蛋白质设计方法的实际应用和进一步的发展打下了良好基础.  相似文献

Sexual size dimorphism varies substantially among populations and species but we have little understanding of the sources of selection generating this variation. We used path analysis to study how oviposition host affects selection on body size in a seed-feeding beetle (Stator limbatus) in which males contribute large ejaculates (nuptial gifts) to females. Females use nutrients in these ejaculates for egg production. Male body size, which affects ejaculate size, affects female fecundity and is thus under fecundity selection similar in magnitude to the fecundity selection on female body size. We show that when eggs are laid on a host on which larval mortality is low (seeds of Acacia greggii) fecundity predicts fitness very well and fecundity selection is the major source of selection on both male and female adult size. In contrast, when eggs are laid on a host on which larval mortality is high (seeds of Parkinsonia florida) fecundity poorly predicts fitness such that fecundity selection is relaxed on both male and female size. However, because egg size affects larval mortality on this poor host (P. florida) there is selection on female size via the female size --> egg size --> fitness path; this selection via egg size offsets the reduction in fecundity selection on female, but not male, body size. Thus, differences in host suitability (due to differences in larval mortality) affect the relative importance of two sources of selection on adult body size; fecundity selection on both male and female body size is lower on the poor quality host (P. florida) relative to the high quality host (A. greggii) whereas selection on female body size via effects of egg size on offspring survival (body size --> egg size --> fitness) is greater on the poor quality host relative to the high quality host. Because selection via the egg size path affects only females the difference in larval survival between hosts shifts the relative magnitude of selection on female vs. male size. Researchers working on other study systems should be alerted to the possible importance of subtle, but consequential, indirect selection on their study organisms.  相似文献

A monoclonal antibody, anti-BEN, initially characterized by its reactivity with an epitope present on the surface of avian bursa epithelial cells and neurons, also reacts with membrane molecules on some hemopoietic cells. In this study we examine BEN expression on lymphoid cells in thymus, spleen, and blood. We demonstrate that BEN is an activation antigen on mature T lymphocytes. It is not expressed on peripheral blood or splenic lymphocytes, but following mitogenic or allogeneic stimulation of blood lymphocytes it appears rapidly on a T cell subpopulation in parallel with the appearance of IL-2 receptors. BEN is also expressed on III-C5 cells, an avian IL-2-dependent permanent T cell line, and on immature CD4+CD8+ thymocytes. BEN is not expressed by resting or actively proliferating B cells. Biochemical analyses of the BEN protein on T lymphoblasts shows that the molecule is similar in size to the BEN molecules on bursa epithelial cells and on neurons. The physicochemical properties of the BEN protein and its tissue distribution differs from other known avian and mammalian T cell activation markers, differentiation antigens, and integrins. Thus BEN is a novel marker of activated T cells in birds.  相似文献
