以中国半翅目等29目昆虫类群(除鞘翅目、双翅目、鳞翅目、膜翅目之外的其他目)为研究对象, 基于2020年度发表的新分类单元与文献资料, 编制了物种名录, 分析了新分类单元的地理分布与模式标本存放情况等。2020年, 中国半翅目等29目昆虫共描述349个新分类单元, 包括新属35个, 新种311个, 新亚种3个; 新种发表的热点地区在我国的西南山地及其邻近地区。模式标本存放单位多达69家, 其中正模标本主要存放在国内保藏机构, 而境外机构保藏的标本较少且以副模标本为主。本年度描述的349个新分类单元由356位作者所贡献, 共发表文献182篇; ZootaxaZooKeys是发表的主要期刊。本次调查为进一步深入研究物种演化的时空格局及生物多样性保护提供了基础数据。同时, 由于人类面临生物多样性急剧下降的威胁, 应加快大数据平台的建设及其多样化信息的挖掘, 支撑生物多样性的研究和保护。  相似文献

本文以2021年度中国半翅目等29目昆虫(除昆虫纲鞘翅目、双翅目、鳞翅目、膜翅目之外的其他昆虫类群)发表的新分类单元为研究对象, 系统编汇了新分类单元信息、模式标本名录与文献目录, 并分析了描述新种的热点地区、模式标本存放情况以及发表期刊的特点等。2021年度中国半翅目等29目昆虫描述了新属35个, 新物种386个以及1个新种下分类单元, 共计422个新分类单元; 基于对新物种在省级行政区分布的分析, 新物种发现的热点地区分布于中国西南(云南、贵州以及四川等)及其邻近地区(广西和西藏等), 而以200 km × 200 km栅格为操作单位, 新物种发现的热点地区主要集中在山地地区。395位研究者参与了本年度新分类单元命名和描述工作, 相关结果发表在28种期刊上, 共205篇文章。本研究及时更新了2021年度中国半翅目等29目昆虫的生物多样性基础数据, 对于加快建设数据共享平台、支撑生物多样性保护和管理, 以及保障国门生物安全等具有重要的作用。  相似文献

Abstract In Brazil, a severe dry season lasting for approximately 5 months and frequent fires make life difficult for cerrado insects. In certain aspects, the cerrado can be considered to be an understudied ecosystem; even basic information such as knowledge about the annual peak in abundance of different insect orders is unknown. Insect abundance patterns have only been investigated for a few groups in the cerrado region. Thus, our study concerns the temporal distribution of insect abundance in the savanna‐like vegetation of the central Brazilian cerrado (sensu stricto) in Distrito Federal. The region has a well‐defined, long dry season between May and September. The insects were sampled by window, malaise tent and pitfall traps within 1 year. We used a multiple linear regression to analyse the relationship between abundance of insects of each order and climate variables. A total of 50 127 individuals from 15 orders was collected. The orders were Coleoptera (26%), Hymenoptera (23%), Diptera (20.5%), Isoptera (20%), Homoptera (4%), Lepidoptera (4%), Orthoptera (1.5%) and Hemiptera (1%). The abundance of Diptera, Homoptera, Lepidoptera and Orthoptera was randomly distributed over time, Isoptera peaked in the first half of the wet season, Coleoptera and Hemiptera in the second half of the wet season and Hymenoptera in each season. A significant correlation was found only between Coleoptera and delayed climatic variables. There were no obvious trends that might help explain the abundance patterns observed. The study provides baseline information about phenological patterns of insect abundance and permits evaluation of this group as a resource for various food chains and different trophic levels.  相似文献

Sperm polymorphism describes the phenomenon of male ejaculates containing two or more distinct types of sperm. In insects, four types of sperm polymorphism are recognized in species from the orders Diptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera and Coleoptera. The present study describes dimorphic sperm of the ground beetle Scarites terricola (Coleoptera: Carabidae) as a novel type of sperm polymorphism in insects. Sperm from the spermatophore and male seminal vesicles are examined at the light‐microscopic level, and both display marked dimorphism. One type has sperm formed into bundles, in which the head of numerous spermatozoa are ‘glued’ together, with tails free‐moving. The other type are free as single spermatozoa and have a disproportionately large‐sized head and an elongated tail. Both types are motile in Ringer's solution. The adaptive and phylogenetic importance of these findings is discussed.  相似文献

Wolbachia is a genus of intracellular bacteria typically found within the reproductive systems of insects that manipulates those systems of their hosts. While current estimates of Wolbachia incidence suggest that it infects approximately half of all arthropod species, these estimates are based almost entirely on terrestrial insects. No systematic survey of Wolbachia in aquatic insects has been performed. To estimate Wolbachia incidence among aquatic insect species, we combined field‐collected samples from the Missouri River (251 samples from 58 species) with a global database from previously published surveys. The final database contained 5,598 samples of 2,687 total species (228 aquatic and 2,459 terrestrial). We estimate that 52% (95% CrIs: 44%–60%) of aquatic insect species carry Wolbachia, compared to 60% (58%–63%) of terrestrial insects. Among aquatic insects, infected orders included Odonata, Coleoptera, Trichoptera, Ephemeroptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, and Plecoptera. Incidence was highest within aquatic Diptera and Hemiptera (69%), Odonata (50%), and Coleoptera (53%), and was lowest within Ephemeroptera (13%). These results indicate that Wolbachia is common among aquatic insects, but incidence varies widely across orders and is especially uncertain in those orders with low sample sizes such as Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, and Trichoptera.  相似文献

为揭示外来植物一年蓬Erigeron annuus上的本土访花昆虫多样性和影响访花行为的因素, 本研究在南京郊区进行了连续2年的野外调查, 采用跨栏模型分析了环境因素如何影响昆虫的访花选择性, 即接受概率(测度是否接受一年蓬花)和访问频数(测度接受一年蓬花的程度)。调查发现, 访问一年蓬花的昆虫共计9目54科145种, 其中, 科丰富度占优势的是膜翅目、 鳞翅目和鞘翅目(均占总科数的20.75%), 其次是双翅目(18.87%)和半翅目(13.21%); 物种丰富度占优势的是双翅目(26.39%), 其次是膜翅目(18.75%)、 半翅目(18.75%)、 鞘翅目(17.36%)和鳞翅目(15.38%)。多数目的物种丰富度在6-7月最高, 9月最低, 仅双翅目(食蚜蝇为主)在5月最高。运用跨栏模型对物种优势度最大的半翅目、 膜翅目和双翅目等的访花个体数量及其影响因素的分析结果表明: 影响半翅目和膜翅目对一年蓬花访问倾向(接受概率)的因素多于影响其访问频数的因素, 由此预测这些访花昆虫可能参考较多因素做出是否接受一年蓬花, 而依据较少线索做出访问程度的访花行为决策; 一年蓬植株密度影响半翅目和膜翅目昆虫的接受概率, 而花密度影响半翅目和双翅目昆虫的接受概率和访问频数, 说明靶标植物花的特性可能对访花昆虫的访花行为决策起主要作用。  相似文献

The diet and trophic groups of an assemblage of aquatic insects were studied in a tropical stream. Genera of the orders Ephemeroptera, Odonata, Plecoptera, Lepidoptera, and Hemiptera showed feeding specialization. Others, such as Trichoptera, Coleoptera, and Diptera, showed great diet variation with genera of different trophic groups. Seasonal variation of insect diet, evident only for some genera of the orders Trichoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and Diptera, was due to the differences observed in community composition and to generalist habits of these genera. However, the seasonal comparison of trophic groups showed no significant statistical differences. The great importance of organic matter, a non-limited resource, in the diet of Ribeir?o do Atalho aquatic insects may be the explanation for the trophic stability in this community organization.  相似文献

Abstract. The expanding data set on insect molecular systematics allows examination of phylogenetic performance and molecular evolution of different types of gene. Studies combining more than one gene in the same analysis allow examination of the relative contribution and performance of each gene partition and can help inform gene choice for resolving deep and/or problematic divergences. We compared results obtained from analyses of twelve insect data sets in which authors combined one or more nuclear ribosomal genes (28S and/or 18S) with one or more protein-coding genes [elongation factor-1α (EF-1α), histone H3, carbamoylphosphate synthetase domain (CPS domain of CAD, or rudimentary), long-wavelength rhodopsin (LW opsin), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6pd), phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK), arginine kinase, and white]. Data sets examined spanned eight orders of insects (Odonata, Ephemeroptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Trichoptera, Lepidoptera, Diptera and Hymenoptera), providing a broad range of divergence times and taxonomic levels. We estimated the phylogenetic utility of the individual genes (using parsimony methods) and characterized the nucleotide substitution patterns (using Bayesian methods) to ask which type of data is preferable for phylogenetic analysis in insects. Nuclear ribosomal and protein coding genes differed little in our measures of phylogenetic performance and patterns of nucleotide substitution. We recommend combining nuclear ribosomal gene data with nuclear protein-coding gene data because each data set has distinct advantages. We do not recommend using mitochondrial genes for higher-level studies of insect phylogeny because reviewed studies demonstrate substitution patterns that lead to high levels of homoplasy.  相似文献

Abstract

The foods of 98 silvereyes (Zosterops lateralis) collected in winter from an orchard near Nelson, New Zealand, consisted of 61 different arthropods belonging to 14 orders. Commonest were Hemiptera in 54% of the birds, Diptera 53%, Coleoptera 34%, Lepidoptera 32%, and Araneida 23%. In addition earthworms, fruit, and seeds were eaten. Except for more beetles (Coleoptera) in males, the diets of the sexes were not significantly different.  相似文献

Previous studies on insect DNA barcoding provide contradictory results and suggest not consistent performances across orders. This work aims at providing a general evaluation of insect DNA barcoding and "mini-barcoding" by performing simulations on a large database of 15,948 DNA barcodes. We compared the proportions of correctly identified queries across a) six insect orders (Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera and Orthoptera), b) four identification criteria (Best Match: BM; Best Close Match: BCM; All Species Barcodes: ASB; tree-based identification: NJT), and c) reference databases with different taxon coverage (100, 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 1,995 insect species).  相似文献

The paper studies mycobiota of the dead insects in West Siberia, Primorsky krai, and Kyrgyzstan. Ascomycetes anamorphs of 13 genera are revealed. In all regions Beauveria bassiana (Bals.-Criv.) Vuill. dominated comprising on average 68% of the total number of isolates. The fungus hosts list the insects of 7 orders and 32 families with Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, and Hemiptera dominating. The rarely found entomopathogens include Tolypocladium inflatum Gams (primarily on Lepidoptera), Metarhizium anisopliae (Metschn.) Sorokin (on Coleoptera). The mortality rate of the insects due to micromycetes is observed mainly on enzootic level. The study of the pathogenic properties of the dominating species (B. bassiana) show the absence of specificity of its environmental isolates for a number of representatives of Orthoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and Diptera.  相似文献

The amplification of complete mitochondrial genomes by long PCR (polymerase chain reaction) has been a major contribution to the large‐scale sequencing of arthropodan mitochondrial genomes. In this work, we designed six conserved long‐PCR primers to successfully recover the entire mitochondrial genome of the horn fly Haematobia irritans (Diptera: Muscidae) in two overlapping fragments. The conservation and versatility of these primers were tested for 17 other species from four major insect orders: Diptera (14), Coleoptera (1), Lepidoptera (1) and Hymenoptera (1). The amplification of complete mitochondrial genomes in orders other than Diptera suggested an even broader application of these primers, especially within the Hexapoda.  相似文献

Parkinsonia aculeata L. (Leguminosae: Caesalpiniaceae), a weed in northern Australia, was the target of a biological control programme from 1983–1987. Sixty-five phytophagous insect species were collected fromP. aculeata growing in the Sonoran desert region of the southwestern United States and Mexico. Six orders (Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Orthoptera and Thysanoptera) and 30 families were represented. Of the 12 species with potential as biological control agents, only one has passed specificity testing and has been released in Australia.

Soixante-cinq espèces d'insectes phytophages furent récoltés surP. aculeata dans la région du désert Sonoran, (sud-ouest des Etats-Unis) et au Mexique. Six ordres (Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Orthoptera et Thysanoptera) et 30 familles furent représentés. Parmi les 12 espèces qui sont potentiellement des agents de lutte biologique, une seule est acceptable selon des tests de spécificité et a été libérée en Australie.

Morphological and molecular data are marshalled to address the question of hexapod ordinal relationships. The combination of 275 morphological variables, 1000 bases of the small subunit nuclear rDNA (18S), and 350 bases of the large subunit nuclear rDNA (28S) are subjected to a variety of analysis parameters (indel and transversion costs). Representatives of each hexapod order are included with most orders represented multiply. Those parameters that minimize character incongruence (ILD of Mickevich and Farris, 1981, Syst. Zool. 30, 351–370), among the morphological and molecular data sets are chosen to generate the best supported cladogram. Summary Feeding experiments and prey collections in Panama have shown the tropical spitting spider Scytodes longipes to be a specialized feeder on soft-chitinized arthropods (Diptera, Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, Orthopteroidea, and Araneae); hard-chitinized insects (Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, and Heteroptera) are refused. There is a considerable specialisation on spiders as prey. The unique prey-catching behaviour in which a gummy secretion is spat onto prey items is considered as an important characteristic of this specialisation. Pholcus phalangioides, a pholcid with convergent morphology and a different specialised prey-catching behaviour, is discussed as an ecological equivalent to Scytodes longipes.  相似文献

The diet of the lesser horseshoe bat Rhinolophus hipposideros was investigated over one season by analysing faeces and discarded insect fragments collected on polythene sheets at eight roosts. Remains of 23 insect families from seven orders (Lepidoptera, Neuroptera, Trichoptera, Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera and Hemiptera) and of spiders (Araneae: Arachnida) were identified. Nematoceran Diptera were the chief prey but Lepidoptera, Trichoptera and Neuroptera were also important. Both locational and seasonal variation were demonstrated for some food categories. The predicted seasonal availability of the different insect taxa is broadly reflected in the results: the question of possible prey selection is discussed. The bat fed successfully on three families of Lepidoptera known to possess hearing organs sensitive to bat ultrasounds. The possible mechanisms by which R. hipposideros might catch such prey are reviewed.  相似文献

Insect community studies related to forest management focus principally on timber-quality stands, and often omit the remainder of the landscape. This study aimed mainly to compare insect communities of primary timber-quality forests (Nothofagus pumilio) with associated non-timber-quality stands (wetland, edge, riparian and N. antarctica forests), and secondarily to characterize these insect assemblages throughout the growing season and at different vertical strata to evaluate the importance of each habitat type for insect conservation. A total of 18,800 individuals belonging to 231 RTUs (recognizable taxonomic units) were identified, of which Diptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera and Coleoptera were the dominant orders. Lepidoptera RTUs were mostly generalists, while the other main orders were most frequently found in timber-quality forests and included many RTUs with specific environmental requirements. Timber-quality stands had higher richness and abundance than associated non-timber-quality forests and possessed more exclusive species (18%), while 39% of RTUs were shared between all sites. The spatial heterogeneity of timber-quality stands generated different niches and favored insect diversity, which would not have been maintained by protecting non-timber-quality stands alone. Consequently, the proper management of subantarctic Nothofagus forests must include the conservation of timber-quality stands, as protection of non-timber-quality areas alone will not be sufficient for insect conservation at the landscape scale.  相似文献
