| Abstract: | Acetohydroxy acid synthase from a mutant resistant to leucine-containing peptides was insensitive to leucine inhibition. It is concluded that acetohydroxy acid synthase is a target for the toxicity of the high concentrations of leucine brought into Escherichia coli K-12 by leucine-containing peptides. |
