| Abstract: | Electron micrographs of bacteriophage phi 6 nucleocapsids, negatively stained by neutralized phosphotungstate and tilted in a goniometer specimen cartridge, proved that the three distinct morphologies seen in the electron microscope are merely three different aspects of a single nucleocapsid structure and strongly suggested that this structure is dodecahedral. |
