| Abstract: | Xanthomonas maltophilia accumulated metals or metallic compounds within the cell in the form of one or a few particles, in a peculiar condition similar to that of an electrolyte solution in an electric cell. The particles consisted of many little granules, most of which were assumed to be composed mainly of a compound of zinc and phosphorus in an amorphous state. |
