| Abstract: | A simple method of isolating and characterizing RNA from L-cell mitochondria is described. The mitochondrial fraction is lysed by sodium dodecyl sulphate, and the RNA fractionated by sucrose-density-gradient centrifugation. The efficacy of proteinase K in preventing ribonuclease activity is also demonstrated. |
