Examination and standardization of editing and typesetting of botanical sci-tech periodicals' illustrations

Based on the author’s editing practice, the requirements for the classification and standardization of the illustration in botanical periodicals were briefly mentioned. The method to optimize and control the illustration’s quality is to examine the figures contents carefully. The author points out some common problems which should be paid more attention to in illustrations technical arrangements. Some detailed methods on how to normalize the illustration’s editing and typesetting were also discussed.
