５种甘草根和根状茎的比较解剖学研究表明，成长根都由周皮和维管组织构成，种间差异主要表现在木栓层和细胞层、韧皮纤维束和排列和轮数、导管分布频率、射线形成以及初生木质部在根中央的星散分布状况等方面；成长根状茎都由周皮、维管组织和髓构成，与根相比较根状茎具厚的木栓层、长而粗的导管分子稿的导管分布频率，不同种根状茎之间韧皮射线的形态和裂隙的有无以及髓、韧皮部含单宁细胞的数量、导管内含物等方面也存在一定差异

MORPHOLOGICAL ANATOMICAL STUDIES ON THE ROOTS AND RHIZOMES OF 5 SPECIES IN GLYCYRRHIZA

By comparative anatomical observation of the roots and rhizomes of 5 species inGlycyrrhiza,it was found that mature roots consist of periderm and vascular tissue,thedifferences in the species relate to the number of cells of cork layer,the arrangement andthe ring number of bast flber strands,the distribution frequency of vessel,the pattern ofray,and the state of the scatered distribution of the primary xylem in the center of theroots etc. Mature rhizomes consist of periderm, vascular tissue and pith. Compared withroot,rhizome posesses thick cork layer,long and wide vessel element,and high frequency of vessel distribution. There also exist certain differences in different species in relationto the pattern and crack of bast ray, the developed degree of fiber,and the amount oftannin material presenting in pith,bast and vessel. Both root and rhizome in their struc-tures have xeromorphic characteristics,however there exist differences in relation to thedeveloped degree of their xeromorphic structure.
