| Abstract: | Summary A new sterol biotransforming mutant was isolated from NRRL-B3683 Mycobacterium sp. after nitrosoguanidine mutagenesis. The mutant showed an enhanced ability to biotransform stigmasterol into 17-ketosteroids compared with the parental strain. |
