| Abstract: | Maroon-backed accentor Prunella immaculata is a rare bird distributed mainly in China. However, there has been no breeding information about this bird reported in China. In July 2001, the breeding ecology of the Prunella immaculata was studied in the Lianhuashan Nature Reserve in Gansu Province. Four nets were found at the base branches of spruce and fir with the height of 3.5 to 11.5 meters. Nest sites were described in details. In addition, the sonogram of calls and the morphology of young birds were first reported. |
