| Abstract: | The applications and development of biotechnology in energy production such as conversion of biomass to biofuel ethanol, production of biodiesel by enzymatic method, production of hydrogen gas and production of petroleum oil enhanced by microorganism are reviewed in this paper. Some discussions on the development in these fields are made. It is shown that biotechnology will play an important role in sustainable development of the world. |
