Abstract:To explore the toxic effect of lead acetate on rat ren 1 tubular epithelial cell HBZY-1. HBZY-1 cells were treated with different concentrations of lead acetate(30,40 and 50 p, mol/L) for 24 h,48 h and 72 h. After 48 hours,using CellTiter-GloTM Luminescent Cell Viability Assay determined cell activity; the apoptosis rate was measured by flow eytometry. The results shows that cell activity decreased significantly( P 〈 0.05 ) by 30,40 and 50 μmol/L lead acetate treatment HBZY-I cells after 72 h; Flow cytometry results showed that the cell apoptosis rate was higher in the treatment group than in the control group. Lead acetate can remarkably inhibit rat renal tubular epithelial HBZY-I cell growth, promote apoptosis and affect the kidney.
