| Abstract: | At an intermediate stage in the growth phase of the cell cycleof Chlamydomonas reinhardi, mitochondria and the chloroplastassociated with each other in a characteristic manner. Aftertemporary association with the chloroplast, mitochondria seemto fuse into giant forms as reported previously.
