河南叶县下寒武统辛集组单板类和腹足类化石的研究

STUDY OF MONOPLACOPHORA AND GASTROPODA FROM THE LOWER CAMBRIAN XINJI FORMATION IN YE XIAN,HENAN

Here reported are 13 species of Monoplacophora, 2 species of Gastropoda and 1 species of unknown affinity from the Lower Cambrian Xinji Formation in Ye Xian,Henan,including 2 new genera and 6 mew species,namely, Repenoconus xinjiensis gen. et sp. nov., Scenella pycna sp. nov., Securiconus vulgaris sp. nov., Obtusoconus grossicostus sp. nov.,Igorellina proboscis sp. nov. ancl Galeiscus theloides gen. et sp. nov.. These faunas are dominated by Stenotheca drepanoida (He et Pei) and Auriculaspira adunca He et Pei. Many of their representatives are similar to those from the Lower Cambrian Yutaishan Formation of Anhui; some of them are also relatively close to those from the Lower Cambrian and early Middle Cambrian of South Australia. Their representatives are mostly distributed on the southern margin of North China; they also occur in the Lower Cambrian Formation of Australia, France and some other parts of the world. This indicates that the Xinji Formation might belong to the middle Lower Cambrian.
