Abstract:Two new genera and six new species are erected from late Quaternary deposits (150 000-12 000aBP) of Core HQ in Heqing Basin, Yunnan. Among them three genera and four species, namely Candona parva sp. nov., Yunnanicandona oblonga sp. nov., Lineocypris granulosa sp. nov., L.gibba sp. nov. are placed in family Candonidae and two genera and two species, namely Parachinocythere reticulata gen. et sp. nov., Heterometacypris heqingensis gen. et sp. nov. belong to family Limnocytheridae. Based on the palaeoenvironmental information of known genera and species, pollen and geochemical indexes in Core HQ, the ecological characteristics of the new genera and species are discussed.
