长白山白桦林中红松种群动态的研究

Dynamics of Korean Pine Population in Birch Forests of the Changbai Mountain.

After the disturbance of Korean pine spruce-fir forests, Asian white birch (Betula platyphylla) occured first and Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis) population began to regenerate about 40 yrs later. They grew slowly under 10-yrs old and much rapidly from 10 to 30 yrs of age. The growth of Korean pine was different in birch forests with different species composition and stand density. It was mainly affected by various layers of the overstory in birch forests. Individuals over 30-yrs old grew very slowly, the overstory of birch forests bocame the limiting factor for the growth and regeneration of Korean pine population.
