Abstract:Azure_winged magpie ( Cyanopica cyana ) is a kind of resident bird mainly distributed in the low elevation (altitude below 900m) in Changbai Mountain. The birds begin to mate in later March every year. The flourishing period of building nests is from May 1 to 10. The great majority of nests are built on the middle and upper parts of the artificial larch ( Larix olgensis ); A full clutch consists of 4-9 eggs, with the average is 7 eggs. The Incubation is carried out by female and lasts for 16-19 days. The nestling begin to leave from the nest after 17-19 days. The percentage of the nestlings alive averages 73.2%. The young birds are feeded chiefly with insects of Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and Orthoptera . Basid on the growth measuring of the young birds, the Logistic equation of the weight, body length and wing length,were established.
