| Abstract: | Two different strains carrying translocations were obtained by irradiation of Locusta migratoria males. The presence of translocations produced an increase in chiasma number in the chromosomes not involved in the translocation, compared to the same chromosomes in wild-type individuals. This increase was higher in the individuals carrying the octovalent than in those carrying the quadrivalent. |
