| Abstract: | Protein fibers are fundamental building blocks of life playing an essential role in motility, elasticity, scaffolding, stabilization and the protection of cells, tissues and organisms. In this review, it was discussed that how protein fibers might be adapted for use in biological, technical and medical applications. The importance of protein fiber assembly was also considered, together with recent developments to control and mimic this process. |
