| Abstract: | We have obtained eight hybridoma cell lines which produced McAbs against rabies virus ( RV), named 9E6, 2F6, 2ElO, 2E9, 4F4,4E4, 8D6 and 9E2. Six of these can secrete neutralizing ( Neu. ) McAbs. We analysed the antigen epitopes of rabies virus with Xeu. McAbs. Firstly, we examined the six Neu. McAbs by the competitive inhibition test. The results showed that six Xeu. McAbs can be classified into three different groups based on their epitopes specificity. Secondly, we examined the SDS-PAGE and Western blot patterns of RY proteins with Neu. McAbs. The results proved that the six Neu. McAbs were all specific for the RV glycoprotein. Therefore we suggest that there are at least three different epitopes in the gly-coprotein of RV. |
