Abstract:Four hybridoma cell lines designated as 2A2, 2B3, 7D1,7D7,that secreted monoclonal antibodies against the Barley Stripe Mosaic Virus Xingjiang strain ( BSMV-Xj ) were established. The subclasses of these monoclonal antibodies were determined by ELISA. Monoclonal antibodies MA2A2 and MA2B3 belonged to the IgG2b and that of MA7D1 and MA7D7 belonged to the IgG2a and IgG1 respectively. Titers of ascites fluid (measured by indirect ELISA) of MA2A2 and MA2B3 are 103 and MA7D1, MA7D7 are 107. All the monoclonal antibodles reacted strongly with BSMV-Xj strain, but only weakly with the BSMV-An strain. The effect of various treatments on the reactions of BSMV-Xj with these four monoclonal antibodies were monitered by ELISA.
