| Abstract: | Green pigment was extracted from \%Ustilaginoidea virens \%(Cke.) Tak. by 80% ethanol, the method is easy and simple with high extraction rate, stability and coloring ability as well. Toxicology of the pigment was evaluated with acute toxicity on mice. It is suggested that this natural pigment can be used as coloring additive in medicine, foodstuff and beverage. |
