| Abstract: | Using double-strand cDNA (ds cDNA)synthesized from the poly(A)￣+-RNA as template,the cDNA encoding rat brain preprocholecystokinin was amplified by PCR. The full-length cDNA fragment containing 345 bp coding for 115 amino acids was inserted into PUC 12 vector and sequenced by the dideoxy chain termination method. It shows there is no difference between the preprocholecystokinin of rat brain and that of rat medullary thyroid carcinoma reported by Deschenes. The method for DNA sequencing by PCR has also been modified. |
