摘    要:本文对两只雄性白眉长臂猿的染色体的C带、G带及Ag-NORs分布进行了较详细的分析,证实染色体数2n=38,并对该种的分类地位提出了一些新看法。

Abstract:White-browed gibbon (Hylobates hoolock leuconedys) is distributed in the west of Yunnan, China.The chromosomes of two male specimens are analysed by several banding tachnique (G-,C-and Q-bands,as well as Ag-stain-ing) .The results are given as below:( 1 )Diploid chromosome number is 38. Autosomes (36) are metacentric and submetacentric, and one pair of them has a secondary constriction. X chromosome is a large metacentric one Y chromosome is a dot.( 2 )The centromeric distribution of heterochromatin has been demonstrated in all chromosomes. Interstitial distribution of heterochromatin has also been demonstrated on the long arms of three pairs of metacentric or submetacentric chromosome.Y chromosome is completely C-band positive.( 3 )After staining by 33258 Hoechst dye, the centromeric regions of all the chromosomes appear to be dull-staining.It shows that white-browed gibbon has constitutive heterochromatin with rich G-C base pairs.( 4 )Silver-stained nucleolar organizer regions(NORs)have been obserd at the secondary constriction of the chromosome pair 10.
