摘    要:水葫芦对藻类生长有克制作用。其机制主要是由于水葫芦根系向水体分泌的有机物质能伤害和杀死藻类。用水葫芦种植水培养藻类,使藻类的光合作用速率显著降低,叶绿素a破坏,细胞还原TTC的能力下降。在荧光显微镜下可看到藻细胞从鲜红色变为淡蓝绿色。

Abstract:An inhibitory effect of water-hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) on algae growth has been found. The plantation of this water plant in eutrophic waters enables the water to become clear due to the suppression of algae. Besides the competitions of light and mineral nutrients between water-hyacinth and algae, the mechanism of this inhibitory effect is mainly due to an excretion of some organic substances from the root system of water-hyacin- th which may injure and kill algal cells. When algal cells were treated with cultured water of water-hyacinth, the photosynthetic rate of algae markedly declined (Fig. 4), chlorophyll a was destroyed, and the abillty of cells to reduce TTG decreased (Table 1). Under fluorescence micro- scope it was seen that algal cells turned from bright red to bluish green. Many small waters in cities are burdened with heavy pollution. Eutrophication becomes a serious problem. Lots of algae grow in the water, thus causing the water to be turbid and dirty. Such waters may be harnessed by estab- lishing water-hyacinth eco-system in them. Greening,beautifying and cleaning effects can be achieved simultaneously.
