| Abstract: | Abstract A rapid small-scale DNA isolation procedure is described for the filamentous cyanobacteria, which yields enough chromosomal and plasmid DNA for restriction endonuclease digestions, Souther hybridizations, and electroelution from gels for further manipulation. DNA from seven strains of cyanobacteria were isolated and analyzed on agarose gels. |
