Abstract:
Ordered dusty structures formed of spherical monodisperse and polydisperse grains are obtained for the first time in a nuclear-track plasma produced by α-particles and fission fragments of 252Cf nuclei passing through neon or argon. A theoretical model of such a plasma is proposed. Monte Carlo computer simulations based on this model are carried out to explain the formation of such structures.
