| Abstract: | The discovery, characteristics, functional mode, mechanism, and advance in study of vegetative insecticidal proteins (VIPs), a new type of insecticidal proteins as well as the encoding genes, which were found, extracted, and purified from Bacillus strains were briefly introduced in this paper. Moreover, the insecticidal activity and safety of VIPs was evaluated and indicated. |
