| 摘 要： | 本文记述了采自宁夏吴忠县南30公里处干河沟组土黄色砂砾层中的四种哺乳动物化石: Tetralophodon cf. exoletus, Hipparion weihoense, Chilotherium (Acerorhinus) cf. tsaidamense 和 Qurliqnoria cheni.其中后三个种过去仅发现于我国的灞河阶.吴忠含化石地层的时代可能是灞河中期,介于青海柴达木和陕西蓝田灞河组两动物群所代表的时代之间.

| Abstract: | While doing geological mapping work in the Wuzhong area, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in 1982, the junior author of the present paper encountered some mammalian fossils in the vicinity of the Wuzhong Building Material Plant, 30 km south of the county site, at the east foot of the Niushou Mountain, The fossils were collected from three sites, the longest distance between which was less than one kilometre, and from the middle and the upper parts of a 20-metre-thick elastic deposits of predominantly yellow color. The fossils turned out to be early Late Miocene in age. Because of the rarity of the early Late Miocene mammals in China the find is particularly welcome. |
