| Abstract: | The Schisandraceae Plants consists of genera Schisandra and Kadsura,there are about 50 species these two genera in the world and 30 of them are distributed in China.At least 20 species has been widely used as traditional chinese and folk drugs. Seventy lignan compounds were isolated from the kernels of the family Schisandraceae.Majority of lignans lower elevated SGPT levels and help CNS depression and other miscellaneous activitie. |
