| Abstract: | The aerial part of Clematis intricata Bunge is a source of Chinese traditional drug "Tou Gu Cao" which has been mainly used in external diseases. In this review the chemical components and pharmacologic activities of Clematis species are presented. It is helpful to the species systematization and quality evaluation of commonly used Chinese traditional drugs. |
