云南蝠蛾属一新种及生物学特性研究

1985至1987年,作者于云南西北部人支雪山冬虫夏草主产地采到一批寄主昆虫,经研究,确认是该地产虫草的优势寄主之一,是蝠蛾属(Hepialus)一新种,并对其生活史及生态习性进行了观察,现描述和报道如下。模式标本保存于中国科学院昆明动物研究所。

BIOLOGICAL STUDIES AND NOTES ON A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS HEPIALUS FROM YUNNAN, CHINA

In our recent studies,a new species of the genus Hepialus has been found in the northwestern part of Yunnan,China,and its biology has been studied.All type specimens are deposited in Kunming Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica.Hepialus renzhiensis Yang et al.sp.nov.(fig.1-3)Adults:body length:13.5mm.wing length:17.0mm.body length:13.8mm.wing length:19.0 mm.The body colour is dark brown,there are stain scales on the forewing,no cross vein between the vein of Rs and M1.Differs from H.armoricanus in Cup of forewing not reaching to tcrmen,with 2 cross veins on both sides.Palps present;male genitalia as shown in Fig.Egg:The shape is ellipse the diameter is about 1 mm Larvae:6 instar,the body length and head width of pee instar as table 1.Pupae:body length 28.5-34.0 mm,male red brown and female dark brown.Life history:egg period 48.6 days.Larvae period 890.8 days.Pupae period 55.7 days.Adult period 3-8 days,often appear in the end of June.Ecology:This species is mainly distributed on the Renzhi and Baima snow mountain,altitude from 3880-4750 m,the most suitable altitude from 4100-4600 m.The most suitable soil is mountain meadowhumus soil.
