| Abstract: | A procedure was developed for isolating mesophyll cells frommulberry leaves that have consistently high photosynthetic activity.To obtain photosynthetically active cells from some plants,their petioles, immersed in water, had to be kept in the darkfor 3–4 days prior to cell isolation.
