Abstract:The composition and abundance of the main zooplankton groups in Cleveland dam (less eutrophic) and Lake Chivero (more eutrophic) were studied. Samples were taken at two-month intervals. Rotifers were the most diverse zooplankton group in both reservoirs. Together with the copepods they formed the bulk of the zooplankton during summer. Cladocerans were particularly present in winter although still at relatively low densities.
