Abstract 5-(N-Hydroxy) carboxamidouridine (5) and 5-(N-hydroxy) carboxamido-methyluridine (6) have been synthesized; these hydroxamic acids incorporate a radical trap into a nucleoside structure, and are designed as potential inhibitors of ribonucleotide diphosphate reductase. |
