Abstract:Phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of Siegesbeckia pubescens afforded two new ent-kaurane diterpenoids (1-2), together with sixteen known ent-kaurane and ent-pimarane diterpenoids (3–18). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods The absolute configurations of 1–2 and 12 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. All compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against two human cancer cell lines A375 and HCT-116.
Keywords:Asteraceae  Cytotoxic activity
