| Abstract: | New types of fluorescent tubes with black-white light were designed and tested in the eotton fields for insect trapping in 1976 to 1981. They emitted blent light with wave-length peaks at 350 nm and 585 nm. Their efficiency in insect trapping was proven to be superior to that of the black light tubes which were ordinarily used for this purpose. The causes of their better performance are analyzed according to the pho-totactic behavior of the insects. |
