Abstract: | Standard pertussis agglutinative serum as well as antibodies to total and purified protective pertussis antigens, isolated from the serum by immunoadsorption technique, were studied. The treatment of donors with pertussis antibodies affected the T-suppressor formation, induced by high doses of sheep red blood cells, as was shown on the model of syngeneic transfer. Immunomodulating effect of antibodies, complementary to immunogen fraction of pertussis cells, was decreased. It was suggested that the observed antilymphocyte activity of antipertussis antibodies could play a certain role in postvaccination complications after corpuscular pertussis vaccine administration. |
