| Abstract: | The patch\|clamp technique is a fundamental method in modern electrophysiological research on cell membrane ion channels which are the primary targets for several classes of natural and synthetic insecticides. Consequently these techniques have gained increasing recognition in insecticide mechanism research. This paper summarizes the theory of patch\|clamps and some new progress in research using patch\|clamp techniques in insect toxicology. |
